Patriot League Volleyball Academic Honor Roll
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Bucknell led the way as the nine Patriot League volleyball teams combined to place 93 student-athletes on the Volleyball Academic Honor Roll for their performance in the fall semester. The Bison had a League-high 17 honorees on the list, followed by American and Loyola Maryland each with 13.
Six of the seven student-athletes named to the Volleyball Academic All-Patriot League squad also received a spot on the Academic Honor Roll, including Navy sophomore Economics major and 2016 Patriot League Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year Patricia Mattingly.
Seven volleyball student-athletes achieved a 4.00 GPA in the fall: American senior Julita Kurdziuk (Business Administration), Colgate junior Lauren Sanderson (English), Loyola senior Kelly McShea (Speech-Language Pathology), and Navy freshmen Paige Miles (Undeclared), freshman Olivia Rozmus (Undeclared), freshman Emily Solis (Undeclared), and Mattingly (Economics).
Kurdziuk and McShea are among 12 student-athletes to make the Academic Honor Roll in all four seasons, joining Bucknell’s Rebecca Forbes, Erika Eastley, Kristen Parks, Jordan Walker; Colgate’s Katie Stebbins; Holy Cross’s Emily Popp, Mandy Sifferlen; Lafayette’s Katherine Stevens; Lehigh’s Katherine Jennison; and Loyola’s Lauren Youngblood.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
