HOW TO WATCH/LISTEN TO PATRIOT LEAGUE GAMES THIS WEEKEND
All seven Patriot League football teams will be in action, kicking off at 1:05 p.m. with the only League matchup of the day between Lafayette and Holy Cross in a game that will be streamed live on the Patriot League Network Monmouth at Bucknell (6 p.m.) and Yale at Fordham (6 p.m.) will also be streamed live on the PLN. Georgetown hosts Harvard at RFK Stadium in a Stadium produced game that can be found at WatchStadium.com or PatriotLeague.TV or on Twitter at @WatchStadium in addition to over-the-air channels around the nation. Colgate at Cornell (1:30 p.m.) will stream behind a paywall on the Ivy League Network, while Lehigh at Wagner (6 p.m.) will stream live on NEC Front Row.
BUCKNELL’S MARK PYLES, LEHIGH’S JIMMY MITCHELL NAMED SEMIFINALIST FOR WILLIAM V. CAMPBELL TROPHY
Lehigh senior defensive lineman Jimmy Mitchell and Bucknell senior linebacker Mark Pyles were among the 181 semifinalists for the 2017 William V. Campbell Trophy, presented by Fidelity Investments, when it was announced on Wednesday by the National Football Foundation (NFF). Mitchell a three-year starter, carries a 3.48 grade point average (GPA), while majoring in finance. Pyles a two-time All-Patriot League selection was also named a semifinalist for the nation’s best football scholar-athlete. The NFF will announce the finalists on November 1. This season will be the 28th season the William V. Campbell Trophy has been awarded.
PATRIOT LEAGUERS AMONG FCS ACTIVE LEADERS
Fordham senior running back Chase Edmonds is currently the FCS active leader in six different categories, including rushing yards (5,400), rushing yards per game (138.5), all-purpose yards (6,810), all-purpose yards per game (174.62) and points per game (10.8). Edmonds is 1,159 yards shy of Georgia Southern’s Adrian Peterson’s all-time FCS rushing record (6,559). The senior All-American has not played since suffering an injury against Central Connecticut State in Week 2. Holy Cross senior QB Peter Pujals is the FCS active leader in passing yards (10,044) and total offense (11,711), while Lehigh senior wide receiver Troy Pelletier is the FCS active leader in receptions (254) and second in receptions per game (6.68) and second in receiving yards (3,327). Colgate senior defensive lineman Pat Afriyie is third among active FCS players in sacks per game (0.65) and fourth in total sacks (24.0)
HOLY CROSS RECEIVING VOTES IN BOTH POLLS; COLGATE RECEIVING VOTES IN FCS COACHES POLL.
Holy Cross fell from No. 25 in the FCS Coaches Poll and the STATS FCS Poll when both were released on Monday afternoon. The Crusaders lost in overtime at Dartmouth, 27-26 on Saturday, but are still receiving votes in both polls. Colgate fell to Furman, 45-14 and are now just receiving votes in the FCS Coaches Poll.

*Saturday’s game will be the 32nd meeting between Lafayette and Holy Cross, with the Leopards holding a 16-15 all-time series advantage. Holy Cross has won the last three games, including a 38-28 League-opener in Easton, Pa. last season. Overall the road team has won eight of the last 12 games.
*Lafayette enters the matchup looking for its first win, after falling to Princeton, 38-17 last week. Freshman QB Sean O’Malley is a two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week and fourth in the League in passing average per game (236.8 yds/gm.). Senior LB Brandon Bryant is fourth in the PL with 10.8 tackles per game.
*Holy Cross had a two-game win streak snapped with a 27-26 overtime loss at Dartmouth. Senior QB Peter Pujals is second in the League, averaging 281.2 passing yards per game. Junior LB Nick McBeath is second in the PL, averaging 11.2 tackles per game.
COLGATE RAIDERS (1-3, 0-0 PL) AT CORNELL BIG RED (0-2, Ivy)

*Colgate and Cornell meet for the 99th time, with the Raiders trailing the all-time series 49-46-3. Colgate had won seven-consecutive meetings before the Big Red earned a 39-38 win last season.
*After a season-opening victory over then No. 23 Cal Poly, Colgate has been hard hit by injuries, missing games from preseason defensive player of the year DL Pat Afriyie, DL Trent Williams, DB Ben Hunt IV, DB Tyler Castillo and RB James Holland. Colgate fell to Furman, 45-14 last week. Junior LB T.J. Holl leads the FCS with 13.0 tackles per game.
*Cornell enters the week in search of its first victory. They fell to Yale, 49-24, last week.
HARVARD CRIMSON (1-1, Ivy) AT GEORGETOWN HOYAS (1-2, 0-0 PL)

*Georgetown and Harvard meet for the fourth time, with the Hoyas dropping all three of the previous meetings between the two programs. The Hoyas fell, 31-17 at Harvard last season. This will be the first time GU has hosted a home game at RFK.
*GU dropped its last two games, including a 35-14 loss to Columbia for the Lou Little Trophy. Sophomore wide receiver Michael Dereus leads the Patriot League, averaging 104.0 receiving yards per game to go with three touchdowns. Senior safety David Akere is fifth in the League, averaging 10.0 tackles per game.
*Harvard enters the week at 1-1, after a 45-28 victory over Brown last weekend. They dropped their season-opener to Rhode Island, 17-10. Freshman QB Jake Smith went 5-for-7 for 72 yards and a TD, while becoming the first Harvard freshman to start a home-opener since 2001.
MONMOUTH HAWKS (3-1, Big South) AT BUCKNELL BISON (2-2, 0-1 PL)

*Bucknell and Monmouth meet for the first time in the history of the two programs. The Bison have only faced on other member of the Big South conference, falling to then No. 9 Charleston Southern, 49-28 on October 29, 2016. Monmouth is 4-0 against the Patriot League since the beginning of the 2016 season. The Hawks defeated Lehigh and Lafayette this season. They play Holy Cross next week.
*Bucknell defeated Sacred Heart, 34-31 on John Burdick’s 46-yard field goal on Saturday. Burdick was named Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week, while senior LB Ben Richard earned defensive player of the week, after registering 15 tackles. Sophomore QB John Chiarolanzio made his first start of the season and passed for 187 yards and a touchdown, while senior RB Joey DeFloria rushed for two more.
*Monmouth enters the week 3-1, with victories over Lafayette, Lehigh and Hampton. Its lone loss came to Albany, 28-14, on Sept. 16. The Hawks outscore opponents, 73-31 after halftime.
YALE BULLDOGS (2-0, Ivy) AT FORDHAM RAMS (1-3, 0-0 PL)

*Fordham and Yale for the ninth time, with the Rams trailing the all-time series 5-3. Fordham has won the last two meetings, including last season’s 44-37 victory in New Haven, Conn.
*Fordham enters the week on a two-game slide, having fallen to Bryant, 45-40 last week. Senior QB Kevin Anderson earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 366 yards and five touchdowns. The Rams have been without preseason offensive player offensive player of the year RB Chase Edmonds, since its win to Central Connecticut State.
*Yale enters the week 2-0 with wins over Lehigh and Cornell. The Bulldogs have averaged 52.5 points per game in its two victories. Freshman RB Zane Dudek is averaging 152.0 yards per game and 12.2 yards per carry over Yale’s first two wins.
LEHIGH MOUNTAIN HAWKS (0-4, 0-0 PL) AT WAGNER SEAHAWKS (1-3, NEC)
Wagner College Stadium/Staten Island, N.Y. (NECFR) Saturday, September 30, 6 p.m. ET
*Lehigh will meet Wagner for the first time in program history when they kick off on Friday. The Mountain Hawks have a 5-1 record against current NEC programs, highlighted by a 4-1 record vs. Central Connecticut State.
*Lehigh leads the Patriot League in scoring offense (34.2 ppg), total offense (463.2 ypg) and passing offense (376.8 ypg), but are still in search of its first win in 2017. The Mountain Hawks fell, 65-47 to Penn last week in the highest scoring game in the history of Goodman Stadium.
*Wagner enters the week at 1-3, with consecutive losses to St. Francis (Pa.), Columbia and Western Michigan. The Seahawks opened with a 37-7 victory over Saint Anselm in their season-opener. RB Ryan Fultz and RB Denzel Knight have four touchdowns apiece to lead the offense.
