CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – No. 1 Navy (36-15, 18-7 PL) will host No. 4 Lafayette (19-31, 12-13 PL) while No. 2 Holy Cross (21-30, 15-10 PL) welcomes No. 3 Army West Point (30-22, 15-10 PL) when the best two-of-three semifinal round of the Patriot League Baseball Championships begin on Saturday.
 
First pitch at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium in Annapolis, Md. is scheduled for 1 p.m. between the Midshipmen and the Leopards. Game two is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start on Sunday, with game three, if necessary, beginning at approximately 4 p.m.
 
The Crusaders and Black Knights begin their best two-of-three game series at Fitton Field in Worcester, Mass. at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Game two of the series will follow at approximately 4:30 p.m. If necessary, game three is scheduled for a 1 p.m. first pitch on Sunday.

*ABOUT LAFAYETTE: Patriot League Rookie of the Year Justin Johnson (Fr., SS) led the Leopards, batting .294 (55-for-187) and finished second in the League in doubles (16) and eighth in stolen bases (9) while junior outfielder Trey Durrah, a first-team all-League selection, excelled in League play, batting .352 (31-for-88) with four home runs and 33 RBIs. Sophomore second baseman Ethan Stern (.281, 3 HRs, 13 RBIs in League play) and senior third baseman Spencer Rouse (.346, 4 HRs, 12 RBIs in League play) were both second-team all-League honorees. Junior left-handed pitcher Brett Kreyer went 4-2 in seven starts against League competition with a 3.63 ERA while sophomore left-handed pitcher JP Woodward went 5-2 in seven League starts with a 5.83 ERA.
*ABOUT NAVY: Patriot League Pitcher of the Year Noah Song (Sr., RHP) leads the Patriot League and NCAA DI in strikeouts (141), strikeouts per nine innings (16.06), wins (10), complete games (6) and is third in the nation in ERA (1.14). Patriot League Player of the Year Christian Hodge (Sr., C) Hodge batted .307 (58-for-189) with a Patriot League-leading 12 home runs. He also finished second in the League with 51 RBIs and fourth with a .534 slugging percentage. Junior second baseman Zach Biggers batted .320 (31-for-97) in 25 League games while sophomore reliever Trey Braithwaite posted a 2.92 ERA in 20 appearances spanning 24.2 innings, as both received first-team all-League recognition. Freshman first baseman Zach Stevens, a second-team pick, batted .350 (28-for-80) in 25 League games to go along with four home runs and 14 RBIs. Second-team all-League senior outfielder Liam Lowery batted .267 with five home runs and 17 RBIs in League play.

*CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY: This will be the fifth series between Army West Point and Holy Cross in the postseason with the Black Knights holding a 6-4 advantage, including winning back-to-back League championships against the Crusaders in 2012 and 2013. Holy Cross swept Army West Point in the semifinals in the last postseason meeting in the 2017 semifinals.

*ABOUT ARMY WEST POINT: Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and first-team all-League centerfielder Jacob Hurtubise batted .423 (33-for-78) and reached base at a .595 clip in 25 League games. Hurtubise is also three stolen bases shy of the Patriot League career record of 99. Sophomore third baseman Anthony Giachin batted .320 (32-for-100) with two home runs and 21 RBIs while first-team all-League shortstop Trey Martin hit .289 (26-for-90) with three home runs and 18 RBIs in 25 League games. Senior RHP Daniel Burggraaf went 4-1 with a 3.12 ERA in seven League starts while senior LHP Tyler Giovinco went 4-3 with a 4.02 ERA in seven League starts. Senior LHP Cam Opp had four saves in League play.
*ABOUT HOLY CROSS: The Crusaders were led by a pair of First Team All-Patriot League starting pitchers with senior RHP Declan Cronin going 5-1 with a 2.70 ERA in six League starts and sophomore RHP Liam Dvorak going 4-2 with a 2.89 ERA in seven League starts. Junior outfielder Austin Masel, a second-team all-League pick batted .340 (34-for-100) in League play with two home runs, 14 RBIs and six stolen bases, and junior infielder Chris Rinaldi batted .295 with 12 RBIs in 25 League games.
