WORCESTER, Mass. – The Navy’s women’s rowing program captured its fifth consecutive Patriot League Women’s Rowing Title after placing first in the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four Grand Finals. The Mids accumulated 54 points to secure the Patriot League Championship.
2019 Runner-up Bucknell finished second in the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four Grand Finals, scoring 48 points. Following the Bison, Boston University and Georgetown tied for third place overall with 39 points each. Lehigh placed fifth with 30 points followed by MIT in sixth (22), Colgate in seventh (16), Holy Cross in eighth (13) and Loyola Maryland in ninth (8).

For the second consecutive year, Navy head coach Joe Schlosberg was named the Patriot League Coach of the Year, and the Mids’ Varsity Eight was named the Patriot League Boat of the Year.
The Midshipmen earned the Patriot League’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Rowing Championship, set for May 29 through June 2 at the Indianapolis Rowing Center in Indianapolis, Ind. At the 2018 NCAA Championships, Navy finished 17th overall, marking the highest finish in program and Patriot League history.
