CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Army West Point senior Nick Turner earned his second-straight Patriot League Men’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor and Lehigh senior Reagan Jahn captured the women’s golf scholar-athlete of the year accolade when the League office announced academic honors on Thursday.
Turner and Jahn both received spots on the five-member men’s and women’s Academic All-Patriot League teams. To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
The Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Academic All-Patriot League Team honors student-athletes who excel both on and off the field. The awards are nominated and voted on by the Patriot League golf sports information directors.
2019 Patriot League Men’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year:
Nick Turner, Army West Point, Sr., Reno, Nev./Bishop Manogue
*Turner, a two-time First Team All-Patriot League selection, tied for first at the 2019 Patriot League Men’s Golf Championship at 2-under par, before bowing out in a three-way playoff. He helped Army West Point to the program’s 12th team title.
*The electrical engineering major carries a 3.768 cumulative GPA and earns his second-consecutive scholar-athlete of the year and academic all-League honor.

*Jahn, a three-time all-League honoree, finished eighth at the 2019 Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship by shooting a 13-over par 229.
*The supply chain management major has a 3.93 cumulative GPA and is a three-time Academic All-Patriot League selection.

Jahn is the fourth student-athlete in Patriot League women’s golf history to earn academic all-League honors three times, joining Boston University’s Adela Cejnarova (2015-17) and Emily Tillo (2014-16) and Navy’s Renata Bucher (2014-16). Navy junior Morgan Frazier (operations research, 3.68 GPA), the 2018 Patriot League Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, earned a spot on the academic all-League team for the second time, along with Bucknell senior Katie Childers (biomedical engineering, 3.70 GPA). Boston University junior Annie Sritragul (business administration and management, 3.87 GPA), and Richmond sophomore Lizzie Reedy (business administration, 4.0 GPA), the 2018 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, are both first-time selections.
Turner, Bucknell senior Connor O’Brien (accounting and financial management, 3.68 GPA) and Lehigh junior Owen Quinn (accounting, 3.78 GPA) each garnered Academic All-Patriot League honors for the second consecutive season. Lafayette sophomore Cole Berger (economics, 3.67 GPA) and Loyola Maryland graduate student Erick Alonso (business administration, 3.736 GPA) both made the academic squad for the first time.
Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for each individual sport comprises the pool of nominees for the Patriot League Male and Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards given out over the summer. One male and one female are selected for this honor.
