Full WTEN Academic Honor Roll List
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The nine Patriot League women’s tennis teams combined to place 70 student-athletes on the sport’s Academic Honor Roll, announced Wednesday by the Patriot League office.
Loyola Maryland led the teams with 10 recipients, followed by Army West Point and Holy Cross with nine each, and Boston University and Lafayette with eight student-athletes apiece. Colgate, Lehigh and Navy each were represented by seven student-athletes apiece, while Bucknell rounded out the list with five honorees.
All six student-athletes named to the Women’s Tennis Academic All-Patriot League squad also received a spot on the Academic Honor Roll, including Army West Point sophomore Ana Joyner, a Systems Engineering major and the 2019 Patriot League Women’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
11 Patriot League student-athletes recorded a perfect 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) during the 2019 spring semester, including: Boston University junior Clara Falxa (Communication), senior Kaely Malik (Film & Television) and sophomore Katya Martens (International Relations), Holy Cross senior Fiona Busser (Biology), Lafayette junior Meredith Block (Psychology) and senior Madison Olexson (Biology), Lehigh junior Leigh Friedman (Biology) and senior Grace Lin (English), Loyola Maryland sophomore Kateri Martin (Business Administration), and Navy senior Catalina Rico (Robotics & Control Engineering (Honors)) and junior Ansofi Wreder (Mathematics with Economics).
To be eligible for the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
