TOWSON, Md. (AP) - Jason Amer threw two touchdown passes to lead Towson
University to a 50-19 win against Lock Haven University on Saturday night.
Towson (1-1) opened the game by scoring on its first two possessions. An
early 23-yard field goal by Stephan Toth put the Tigers up 3-0. Towson then
went up 10-0 after Mikal Lundy scored on a 2-yard run.
In the first half, the Tiger defense held the Bald Eagles to 33 yards, while
Towson ran up 349 yards.
Towson's defense then added to the scoring when Jason Troilo tackled
quarterback Troy Wile in the end zone for a safety.
With 1:24 left in the first half, Will Marcus scored on a 17-yard pass from
Amer, giving Towson a 26-0 lead at halftime.
The Tigers continued to wear down the Bald Eagles defense in the third
quarter as Lundy, who had his first 100-yard rushing game of his career, raced
10 yards for a touchdown, putting Towson up 33-0.
Amer was 16-of-19 passing for 261 yards, while Jason Galloway caught seven
passes for 119 yards and a touchdown.
Lundy carried the ball 20 times for 121 yards and two touchdowns in the
victory.
