Colgate Names Football Captains For 2004

May 12, 2004

Quarterback Chris Brown (Rockledge, FL), wide receiver Luke Graham (Hamilton, NY) and linebacker Antrell Tyson (Decatur, GA) have been named tri-captains of the 2004 Colgate University football team.

These three seniors were key players in last season's Patriot League title run, and trip to the NCAA Division I-AA championship game. The Raiders finished 15-1.

Brown, who is 18-1 as a starter, will be returning for his second season as Colgate's starting quarterback. Last season, he completed 223-of-395 passes for 2,832 yards (third highest total in school history) and a school record 22 touchdowns. He ran 154 times for 453 yards and nine touchdowns, while earning second team all-Patriot League honors.

Graham caught a school record 77 passes for 1,140 yards and eight touchdowns last fall. He became the second player in school history to post two seasons with 1,000 or more receiving yards. The second team all-Patriot League selection comes into his final season in third place in career receptions with 151 and fourth place in career receiving yards with 2,448.

Tyson was a second team all-Patriot League pick last season for the Raiders. He recorded 54 tackles including five tackles for losses and one quarterback sack to go along with one interception, one fumble recovery and one caused fumble.
