What's New with Patriot League Social Media this Week

Sept. 3, 2009

Center Valley, Pa. - It's the first full weekend of the 2009 fall athletic season, and the Patriot League is providing its followers with a group of outlets to actively follow everything happening on the field. The Patriot League Gameday Blog, Twitter and Facebook pages will all be updated throughout the weekend to keep up with the action.

Already this week, the Gameday Blog has featured posts on the League's success in men and women's soccer, and a primer to get followers ready for all of the weekend football coverage. The Patriot League Twitter page has included regular posts ranging from releases on the League website to highlighting the accomplishments and activities at member schools. The Patriot League Facebook page has engaged fans on discussion questions while also posting all of the coach and student-athlete videos from the 2009 Patriot League Football Media Day.

Here's what fans can look forward to at the Patriot League social media sites this weekend:

The Patriot League Gameday Blog will be the place to get highlights, updates and additional information on all of the action over the weekend. The blog will be updated regularly as Patriot League teams open the season in football and try to stay in the win column in men and women's soccer, field hockey and volleyball.

The Patriot League Twitter page will provide real-time, quick updates of the action and breaking news. Look for some updates on in-progress games in football and other League sports.

The Patriot League Facebook page is the place to go to discuss the first week of football games with fellow fans and League staff and give your insight into who looks good in 2009.

And there is still no better place to go for updated Patriot League scores, standings, statistics and news than www.patriotleague.org, which will include a full recap of Saturday's football action at the conclusion of the night.
