Colgate Men's Basketball Falls to San Francisco in CBI First Round

SAN FRANCISCO – Colgate’s comeback attempt fell short, as the Raiders ran out of time in a 72-68 loss to University of San Francisco in first-round action of the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) on Wednesday night.
*The Raiders trailed by 10 points with less than 90 seconds remaining in the game, before pulling within one point, behind eight points from senior forward Jordan Swopshire. Swopshire finished with 16 points and nine rebounds.
*Freshman guard Jordan Burns led the Raiders with 20 points. Sophomore forward Will Rayman chipped in 12 and four rebounds.
*Colgate trailed 24-17 at the half.
*The appearance in the CBI was the Raiders’ first postseason appearance in 22 years. They made the NCAA Tournament in 1995 and 1996.
*Colgate’s 19 wins was a program record, while its 13 home wins ties the program record from the 1926-27 season.
