CENTER VALLEY, Pa.— Loyola Maryland took home two Patriot League women’s soccer weekly awards this week, and Lafayette, Boston University, and Lehigh all were awarded with one when the League office announced winners on Monday.
Loyola Maryland senior midfielder Hannah Hoefs recorded a goal and an assist in their victory over American to earn Patriot League Midfielder of the Week. Freshman goalkeeper Paige Sim was awarded Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for her work against Boston University and American.
Lafayette junior forward Krista Kissell was awarded Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts this past week. McKenna Kennedy from Boston University led the Terriers’ defense this week, which captured Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week. Julianna Bonner from Lehigh won Patriot League Rookie of the Week for her work in Lehigh’s 3-1 victory over Bucknell.
Lafayette defender, Rory Schauder, Boston University goalkeeper Morgan Messner, and Army West Point’s Alyssa Carfagano and Sydney Shafer were awarded Patriot League Honorable Mention recognition.

PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Krista Kissell, Lafayette, Jr., Forward, Cresco, Pa./ Notre Dame
*Kissell had two shots on goal in each of Lafayette’s matches this past week.
*She scored the game-winning goal against Colgate in the 93rd minute, which was her fourth goal of the season.
*This victory over Colgate was the first ever for the Leopards in Hamilton, N.Y.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S SOCCER MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK

*Hoefs had a goal and an assist in the 3-1 victory over American on Wednesday.
*Her goal came on a penalty kick and she assisted on the game-winning goal three minutes later to lift the Greyhounds.
*This was Hoefs’ third three-point game of the season for Loyola.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

*Kennedy guided the Terriers to two shutouts this week.
*She helped the defense limit Loyola Maryland and Army West Point to five and two shots on net, respectively.
*The junior defender led the backfield for the Terriers as she collected 200 minutes played this past week.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S SOCCER GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Paige Sim, Loyola Maryland, Fr., Goalkeeper, Phoenix, Ariz./ Desert Vista
*Sim allowed just one goal in two games this week for the Greyhounds, recording her second shutout of the season against the Terriers.
*She made four saves against the defending Patriot League champs on Saturday, as she faced 12 shots from the Terriers in total.
*Sim remains undefeated in her freshman campaign with a record of 4-0-2 with 0.59 goals against average and an .840 save percentage.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Julianna Bonner, Lehigh, Fr., Forward, Ellicott City, Md./ Wilde Lake
*Bonner scored the game-winning goal in the 81st minute against Bucknell and assisted on another Lehigh goal versus the Bison.
*The game-winner was Bonner’s first career goal.
*The freshman collected three shots for the Mountain Hawks against Bucknell.

*Schauder played every minute of two OT games and recorded her first career point with an assist on the game-winning goal in OT for the Leopards against Colgate.
