CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Colgate senior guard Rachel Thompson averaged 19.5 points in a 2-0 week to earn Patriot League Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Army West Point forward Sabria Hunter was selected as the rookie of the week after collecting a double-double versus Air Force, when the League office announced results on Monday.
American sophomore guard Emily Fisher, Boston University freshman guard Sydney Johnson and senior forward Nia Irving, Bucknell senior forward Ellie Mack and Holy Cross senior center Megan Swords all earned honorable mention recognition.
The Patriot League Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school's sports information director, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Player of the Week
Rachel Thompson, Colgate, Sr., G, St. Louis, Mo./Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School
* Thompson paced the Raiders to 2-0 week against the Ivy League by averaging 19.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, four assists and 4.5 steals. She shot 53.3 percent from the field for the week and was 6-of-8 at the line (.750).
* In Thursday's 62-58 victory at Cornell, Thompson contributed 21 points, 14 rebounds, six steals and five rebounds.
* She helped Colgate overcome a 17-point second-half deficit by scoring 16 points to go with 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals.
* In Saturday's 70-67 overtime win against Yale, the senior finished with 18 points and nine rebounds while also contributing three assists and three steals.
Patriot League Rookie of the Week
Sabria Hunter, Army West Point, Fr., F, Austintown, Ohio/Austintown Fitch
* Hunter registered her second double-digit scoring contest of the season, finishing with 16 points in the 68-66 win at Air Force on Wednesday.
* She also pulled down 10 rebounds for her first career double-double and added a game-high two blocks.
* The freshman was the catalyst of the Black Knights' second-half comeback over Air Force, scoring 13 points in the final two quarters, by connecting on 6-of-8 on field-goal attempts.

* Fisher scored a career-high 22 points to guide the Eagles to their first win against Villanova (76-54) on Tuesday.

* Johnson put up double-digits in scoring in wins for Boston University with 12 points in both games versus New Hampshire and Maine.
Nia Irving, Boston University, Sr., F, Fairfield, Maine/Lawrence
* Irving started last week off with 14 points in the Terriers' 78-64 win at New Hampshire, followed by a 20-point performance in the 62-49 victory over Maine on Sunday.
Ellie Mack, Bucknell, Sr., F, Paoli, Pa./Conestoga
* Mack scored a career-high 33 points against Quinnipiac on Saturday to mark her fourth double-digit scoring effort of the season.
Megan Swords, Holy Cross, Sr., C, Glen Rock, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy
* Swords led the Crusaders to an 80-71 win over Boston College with 21 points and 14 rebounds. The win against Boston College is Holy Cross' first win over a Power 5 school since 2014.
