29 Patriot League Football Student-Athletes Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Twenty-nine Patriot League football seniors were among the record-setting 1,643 student-athletes named to the Hampshire Honor Society by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF) on Wednesday for academic success throughout their collegiate careers.
 
Each of the Patriot League’s seven programs had at least one honoree, led by Holy Cross, which placed a League-high six student-athletes on the list. Bucknell, Georgetown and Lafayette had five apiece while Colgate (4), Fordham (3) and Lehigh (1) to round out the League’s representatives.  
 
Nine members of the 2018 Academic All-Patriot League Football team were recognized including Bucknell senior defensive back Bryan Marine, Colgate senior punter Josh Cerra and senior linebacker Dillon DeIuliis, Fordham senior wide receiver Austin Longi and senior defensive back Bryce Petty, Holy Cross senior linebacker Ryan Brady, Lafayette senior defensive end Andrew Chuma and senior defensive back Trent Crossan and Lehigh senior defensive lineman Harrison Kauffman.

The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF) 2019 NFF Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers. Honorees must have completed their final year of playing eligibility. An all-time high of 1,643 players from a record 424 schools qualified for membership in the Society's 13th year. The previous records of 1,274 honorees and 308 schools were set in 2018.
