#CFB150 Series: Colgate’s Chris Looney
Former Colgate wide receiver Chris Looney, the 2012 Patriot League Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a CoSIDA Academic All-American, helped the Raiders to a League championship with one of the most prolific offensive units in the FCS during his senior season. But the Verona, N.J. native’s story was far from written.

Shortly after his graduation from Colgate in 2013, Looney’s first job took him to Turkey as a research analyst. He moved from Turkey into the Peace Corps, where he spent two years teaching preschool to children in Burkina Faso. Following his time in the Peace Corps, Looney moved back stateside where he earned his law degree from Yale. Looney’s life and academic experiences have now set him up to embark on a new path as he begins a position within the Department of Defensive working in the office of the Deputy General Counsel for International Affairs.

Georgetown and Columbia Play for the Lou Little Trophy
Georgetown and Columbia meet on Saturday in the fifth Lou Little Trophy Game. The Hoyas and Lions have split the series celebrating the College Football Hall of Fame coach with ties to both programs.

"The Lou Little Trophy is really special,” Georgetown Head Coach Rob Sgarlata said. “It just reminds us about the rich history that Georgetown football has here on the Hilltop. It is a rivalry that harkens back to before modern-day football at Georgetown. (Columbia’s) Coach Bagnoli has done such a great job with building the Columbia football program. It is a very heated rivalry and every game that we play against those guys is close and hard-fought. I am looking forward to a great game this weekend."
