CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Navy senior attacker Kelly Larkin tied the Patriot League record by winning her ninth career Patriot League Attacker of the Week when honors were announced by the League office on Monday. Loyola Maryland claimed three of the League’s five women’s lacrosse weekly awards with Lehigh receiving one.
 
Larkin tied former Navy star Jasmine DePompeo by receiving her record-tying ninth Patriot League Attacker of the Week honor. She tallied 18 points on 10 goals and eight assists during a 2-0 week that included wins over Saint Joseph’s (19-12) and No. 21 Duke (16-15). The senior attacker became the League’s career leader in assists (170) in the win over the Blue Devils, passing DePompeo (167). Larkin is the Patriot League’s career leader in points (365).
 
Loyola Maryland sophomore defender Katie Detwiler earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week with three draw controls, two ground balls and caused one turnover in a season-opening 16-7 victory over No. 24 Johns Hopkins. Junior goalkeeper Kaitlyn Larsson was named goalkeeper of the week after making 12 saves and allowing seven goals against the Blue Jays. Freshman attacker Emily Willis was selected Patriot League Rookie of the Week after recording five points on three goals and two assists.
 
Lehigh senior midfielder Sondra Dickey received Patriot League Midfielder of the Week with 15 points on 12 goals and three assists, eight draw controls, four ground balls and four caused turnovers during a 1-1 week, including a 17-11 win over UMBC.
 
American senior attacker Casey Harkins and junior midfielder Emma Vinall, Army West Point junior attacker Jackie Brattan, Colgate senior midfielder Noelle Patterson, Holy Cross sophomore goalkeeper Grace Flink, Loyola Maryland junior attacker Livy Rosenzweig and Navy senior midfielders Kayla Harris and Annalise Heyward all received weekly honorable mentions.

Defending Patriot League champion Loyola Maryland is ranked No. 12 in this week’s the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Poll while Navy checks in at No. 16. The Greyhounds are ranked No. 11 in the 
Inside Lacrosse Women’s DI Poll with the Mids moving up four spots to No. 13.

*Dickey finished the Mountain Hawks’ two-game week with 15 points on 12 goals and three assists. She also added eight draw controls, four ground balls and four caused turnovers during a 1-1 week, including a 17-11 win over UMBC.
*The senior midfielder posted career-highs in goals (7) and points (8) while winning four draw controls and causing two turnovers against the Retrievers.
*She had a hand in seven of Lehigh’s nine goals with five goals and two assists, while recording four draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

*Detwiler won three draw controls, picked up two ground balls and caused one turnover in Loyola Maryland’s season-opening 16-7 victory over No. 24 Johns Hopkins.
*The sophomore defender held Blue Jays’ Tewaaraton Watch List selection Maggie Schneidereith to just one goal.
*She keyed a Greyhounds defensive effort that held Johns Hopkins to three goals in the final 49 minutes of play.
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

*Larsson made 12 saves while allowing just seven goals in her first collegiate start to register a 12-7 win over No. 24 Johns Hopkins.
*The junior goalkeeper made eight saves in the second half to hold the Blue Jays to two second half goals.
*She also picked up two ground balls and caused one turnover.
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Emily Willis, Loyola Maryland, Fr., Attacker, Ambler, Pa./The Agnes Irwin School
*Willis posted five points in her collegiate debut, finishing with three goals and two assists in a 16-7 win against No. 24 Johns Hopkins on Saturday.
*The freshman attacker had two goals and one assist during a 6-1 run in the first half to help the Greyhounds erase a three-goal deficit and take a 7-5 lead into halftime.
*Her five points and three goals both tied for the second-most in the game to help Loyola Maryland snap a three-game losing streak to the Blue Jays.

*Rosenzweig posted a game-high six points on two goals and four assists to lead Loyola Maryland to a 16-7 victory over No. 24 Johns Hopkins.
