CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — American junior guard Jade Edwards was named the Patriot League GEICO Women's Basketball Player of the Week, and Lehigh guard Mackenzie Kramer received rookie of the week when the League office announced the results on Wednesday.
Boston University senior guard Katie Nelson, Colgate freshman forward Tiasia McMillan, Holy Cross junior guard Avery LaBarbera and freshman guard Bronagh Power-Cassidy, Lehigh sophomore guard Frannie Hottinger all earned honorable mention recognition.
The Patriot League Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school's sports information director, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Player of the Week
Jade Edwards, American, Jr., G, Chicago, Ill./The Latin School of Chicago
* Edwards averaged 23.5 ppg in the first two games of the season for American, including a career-high 31-point performance against Lehigh on Monday.
* The junior added a career-high five steals and a career-high 13 rebounds on Monday for her first double-double of the season.
* Edwards' 31 points on Monday is the highest single-game total in the Patriot League so far this season, while her five steals in both games against Lehigh tie for the single-game high in the League.
Patriot League Rookie of the Week
Mackenzie Kramer, Lehigh, Fr., G, Saint Michael, Minn./Saint Michael Albertville
* Kramer scored a game-high 21 points with four 3-pointers and went 5-for-5 from the foul line in Saturday's 79-70 victory over American.
* On Monday, Kramer had 11 points on three 3-pointers to defeat the Eagles, 89-71.
* For the weekend, the freshman averaged 16.0 points per game, shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 46.7 percent (7-for-15) from beyond.
Honorable Mentions
Katie Nelson, Boston University, Sr., G, Falmouth, Mass./Bishop Feehan
* Nelson became the 24th Terrier in program history to record 1,000 career points, accomplishing the milestone on Saturday at Colgate. Nelson went 7-for-8 from the floor for 20 points while also dishing eight assists.
Tiasia McMillan, Colgate, Fr., F, Seffner, Fla./Carrollwood Day School
* McMillan scored a season-high 11 points in Sunday's finale against Boston University as she finished the weekend 7-of-14 from the field.
Avery LaBarbera, Holy Cross, Jr., G, Harrison, N.Y./Harrison
* In Saturday's 80-46 win at Army West Point, LaBarbera recorded a season-high 23 points, to go along with seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
* In the team's 61-42 win on Sunday, she matched a season-high with four steals against the Black Knights.
* LaBarbera currently leads the Crusaders in points per game (13.3), assists (14), and steals (11).
Bronagh Power-Cassidy, Holy Cross, Fr., G, Dublin, Ireland/Marianapolis Prep
* In Saturday's 80-46 victory at Army, Power-Cassidy connected on 7-of-10 shooting for a career-high 17 total points while also recording a pair of blocks.
* She then posted nine points and five rebounds in a balanced team effort for a 61-42 victory on Sunday.
Frannie Hottinger, Lehigh, So., G, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall
* For the weekend, Hottinger averaged 19.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, and shot 48.1 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from beyond-the-arc. She was also a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.
* On Saturday versus American, Hottinger scored a then career-high 18 points with nine rebounds, two assists, and a steal and shot 46.2 percent from the field in the 79-70 victory. In Monday's 89-71 win over the Eagles, she scored a career-high 21 points, shooting 50 percent (7-for-14) from the field, and had three 3-pointers.
