Navy’s Women’s Basketball Games vs. Loyola Maryland Postponed

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League women’s basketball games between Navy and Loyola Maryland scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 9 and Sunday Jan. 10 have been postponed as the Navy women’s basketball program remains in quarantine protocol due to a positive COVID-19 test within their Tier 1.  
 
The contests between the Mids and Greyhounds will be rescheduled following discussions with the two schools and the League office. Navy’s opening weekend games against Bucknell had been previously postponed with rescheduled dates and times to be announced at a later date.
 
NCAA TIER 1 DEFINITION: Tier 1 is the highest exposure tier and consists of individuals for whom physical distancing and face coverings are not possible or effective during athletic training or competition. Examples of relevant individuals include student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, medical staff, equipment staff and officials.
