Fordham, Georgetown and Holy Cross record League victories

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Junior quarterback Pierce Holley and senior running back Herman Moultrie III rushed for touchdowns in the fourth quarter to lead Georgetown to a 29-21 victory over Bucknell at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
*Holley completed 18-of-31 passes for 251 yards and a touchdown, in addition to 16 yards and a rushing touchdown. Moultrie rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries for the Hoyas.
*Senior wide receiver Cameron Crayton caught six passes for 136 yards and a touchdown, while sophomore placekicker Conor Hunt went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-2 on PATs for Georgetown.
*Bucknell senior wide receiver Dominic Lyles caught five passes for 110 yards and tied a League season-high with three touchdown receptions.
*Freshman quarterback Ethan Grady completed 12-of-20 passes for 162 yards, two interceptions and three touchdowns in his second collegiate game. Senior running back Jared Cooper rushed 19 times for 91 yards for the Bison offense.
*Holley and Crayton connected on a 70-yard touchdown pass less than one minute into the game to put the Hoyas in front 7-0.
*Lyles caught touchdown passes from Grady in the first and second quarters to help the Bison take a 14-13 lead into halftime.
*Lyles and Grady connected for the third time at the 9:46 mark in the third quarter to extend the lead to 21-13.
*Hunt’s third field goal of the game at the 3:28 mark in the third quarter brought GU within four points, at 20-16, before Holley and Moultrie scored on consecutive drives late in the fourth quarter.  
*Junior defensive back intercepted a Bison first-down pass at the 2:12 mark in the fourth quarter to allow the Hoyas to end the game.
*Georgetown graduate student defensive back finished with nine tackles and 3.0 tackles for loss (TFLs), while senior linebacker Justin Fonteneaux had a team-high 10 tackles.
*Bucknell junior safety Jonathan Searcy had a team-high nine tackles. Sophomore linebacker Blake Leake had seven tackles and one forced fumble, while freshman cornerback Ethan Robinson had six tackles and three pass breakups.

BRONX, N.Y. – Senior quarterback Tim DeMorat accounted for three fourth-quarter touchdowns to help Fordham overcome a 14-point deficit in a 35-28 victory over Lehigh at Jack Coffey Field on Saturday.
*DeMorat completed 24-for-40 passes for 401 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for two more scores to help the Rams improve to 3-0 in League play.
*Junior wide receiver Fotis Kokosioulis had 10 catches for 157 yards, junior wide receiver Garrett Cody finished with three catches for 111 yards and a touchdown and junior wide receiver Dequece Carter added five catches for 97 yards and a touchdown.
*Rams’ freshman linebacker James Conway posted a career-high 21 tackles and a half-TFL, while fifth-year defensive back Jesse Bramble added 11 tackles, a half-TFL and a pass breakup.
*Lehigh junior running back Zaythan Hill rushed for a career-high 159 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries against the Rams. Hill has rushed for 283 yards and four touchdowns in two career games against Fordham.
*Sophomore quarterback Dante Perri threw for a career-high 317 yards and one touchdown while completing 27-of-37 passes.
*Hill put the Mountain Hawks on the board first with a 28-yard touchdown run at the 12:42 mark in the first quarter.
*DeMorat answered, completing a 65-yard touchdown pass to Cody nine seconds later to tie the score before Perri threw a three-yard touchdown pass to senior tight end Alex Snyder at the end of the first quarter to give Lehigh a 14-7 lead.
*DeMorat threw a 17-yard touchdown to Carter in the second quarter to tie the score at 14 going into the half.
*Hill scored touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters to put the Mountain Hawks in front 28-14.
*DeMorat had touchdown runs of 11 and 2 yards, sandwiched around an 11-yard touchdown pass to senior tight end in the fourth quarter to lead the Rams comeback.
*Junior defensive back TyGee Leach led the Mountain Hawks with seven tackles and one pass breakup, while freshman defensive back DJ Lawrence had six tackles.

AT HOLY CROSS CRUSADERS (5-2, 2-0) 42, COLGATE RAIDERS (2-6, 2-1 PL) 10

WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior running back Peter Oliver led a Holy Cross rushing attack that totaled 359 yards on the ground, as the Crusaders defeated Colgate, 42-10, on Saturday evening in the first football game at Polar Park.
*Oliver rushed for 153 yards on 14 carries, including Polar Park’s first touchdown.
*Sophomore quarterback Matthew Sluka carried 12 times for 114 yards and two scores, and junior running back Tyler Purdy rushed 11 times for 41 yards and a touchdown.
*Colgate senior defensive back/return specialist Will Gruber returned a kickoff for a 99-yard touchdown. It was his second kickoff return for a score in as many weeks, tying the Patriot League single-season and career record. Gruber is the third student-athlete in League history to return two kickoffs for touchdowns in a single season, joining Bucknell’s Dante Ross (2004) and Lafayette’s Matt Smalley (2013).
*Oliver and Purdy rushed for touchdowns in the first quarter to give Holy Cross an early 14-0 lead.
*Colgate freshman placekicker Spencer Biscoe booted his first of two first-half field goals to put the Raiders on the board, but Crusaders’ freshman running back Jordan Fuller rushed for a touchdown on the ensuing drive to extend Holy Cross’s lead back to 14, at 17-3.
*Gruber followed with a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to help the Raiders close the deficit to 21-10 at the break.
*The Crusaders broke the game open in the third quarter, recovering a fumble on the opening kickoff before Sluka rushed for a 35-yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage.
*Senior placekicker Derek Ng completed a nine-yard touchdown pass to senior tight end Cullen Honohan to extend the lead to 35-10 at the end of the third quarter.
*Sluka rushed for an eight-yard touchdown at the 4:59 mark to seal the game for the Crusaders.
*Senior linebacker Liam Doran finished with a team-high 10 tackles and 1.0 TFL, while junior linebacker Jacob Dobbs totaled eight tackles, 1.0 TFL and a half-sack for Holy Cross.
*Senior defensive backs Cristos Argys and John Smith and senior linebacker Liam Anderson all recorded interceptions for the Crusaders.
*Colgate junior defensive back Mikey Jarmolowich had a team-leading 11 tackles. Gruber had 10 tackles and two pass breakups and senior linebacker Trevor Thompson had nine tackles, 1.0 sack and a pass breakup.
