BETHLEHEM, Pa. – All 20 Patriot League men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete in the NCAA DI Cross Country Regional Championships at two separate sites on Friday.
Men’s and women’s programs from American, Bucknell, Lafayette, Lehigh, Loyola Maryland and Navy will be racing in the Mid-Atlantic Regional at Lehigh’s Goodman Campus Cross Country Course in Bethlehem, Pa. The women’s 6K race kicks off at noon. The men’s 8K race will begin at 1 p.m.
Army West Point, Boston University, Colgate and Holy Cross will participate in the Northeast Regional hosted by UMass Lowell at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.

The Navy men’s and women’s teams swept the Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships on Sunday, Oct. 31 at Lehigh’s Goodman Course. The Midshipmen men’s squad had six of the top-seven finishers in the 8K championship. Navy’s women placed six of the top-14.
Navy’s men enter the NCAA Regional Championships ranked No. 4 in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mid-Atlantic poll. No. 10 Lafayette, No. 11 Lehigh and No. 12 Bucknell are also ranked in the region heading into the championship. The Mids’ women’s team is ranked seventh in the USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region poll. No. 11 Bucknell, who features 2020-21 NCAA Championship qualifier Ashlyn Ramos, and No. 14 Lehigh also enter the regional championship ranked.
Army West Point’s men’s team is ranked No. 11 in the Northeast Region led by two-time Patriot League individual champion and 2020-21 NCAA Championship qualifier Marshall Beatty. Boston University checks in at No. 14. The Terriers’ women’s team is the highest-ranked Patriot League team in the Northeast Region, climbing two spots to No. 12, led by 2020-21 NCAA Championship qualifier Andrea Claeson, who finished third at the 2021 League championship. Army West Point is ranked 14th in the latest poll. The Black Knights are led by 2021 Patriot League individual champion Georgia Jones.
NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION: The 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla. Both championships provide for a maximum of 31 (five-to-seven-person) teams and 38 individuals. Eighteen teams automatically qualify for the championships races by finishing as one of the top two teams at any of the nine regional races. The remaining 13 at-large teams are selected by the NCAA Division I Cross Country Subcommittee. Thirty-six individuals automatically qualify for the championships races by being one of the top four regional finishers not on an advancing team. Two additional individuals are selected at-large by the committee. Fans can watch the selection show on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m. ET, on NCAA.com.
