BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League has announced rescheduled contest dates for the men’s basketball programs from Lafayette and Loyola Maryland, and the women’s basketball programs from Boston University and Lafayette. In addition, Patriot League women’s basketball games featuring American and Navy, Boston University and Colgate, and Lafayette and Lehigh, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6 and Sunday, Feb. 7 have been postponed.
The Greyhounds’ men’s basketball team will host the Leopards at Reitz Arena on Sunday, Feb. 7 with live coverage beginning on CBS Sports Network at noon. Lafayette will host Loyola Maryland at Kirby Sports Center on Monday, Feb. 8. The tip-off for Monday’s game is 7 p.m. with live coverage on
ESPN+.
The Lafayette women’s basketball team will host Boston University on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. The game will be streamed live on
ESPN+.
The two-game series between the Eagles and Midshipmen has been postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test within the American women’s basketball program’s Tier 1. The Raiders vs. Terriers series has been postponed as the Colgate women’s basketball program fell below the NCAA minimum number of available student-athletes to compete. The Leopards and Mountain Hawks games were postponed as a result of a positive COVID-19 test within the Lehigh women’s basketball program’s Tier 1.
The contests between the Eagles and Mids, Terriers and Raiders and Leopards and Mountain Hawks will be rescheduled following discussions with the schools and the League office.
The American men’s basketball team also has a positive test among its Tier 1 group. They were scheduled to play Navy this weekend. That game was postponed earlier this week following a positive test result within the Navy men’s Tier 1 population.
