Due to a positive test within its Tier 1 group, the College of the Holy Cross men’s basketball team is unable to participate in the 2021 Patriot League Men’s Basketball Championship.
They were scheduled to host Loyola Maryland in a first-round game on Wednesday, March 3. As a result, Loyola Maryland will advance to quarterfinal round of the tournament to face top-seeded Navy on Saturday, March 6 at noon.
“With this unfortunate news, we are disappointed that our season has been cut short,” said head coach Brett Nelson. “I am extremely proud of and grateful for our players, staff and everyone associated with our program. Our team has grown tremendously this season in many ways. The future of Holy Cross basketball is very bright, and we have laid a great foundation moving forward.”
