BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The No. 3 Army West Point Black Knights were crowned the 2020-21 Patriot League Spring Volleyball Champions after defeating No. 1 Colgate, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon at Cotterell Court in Hamilton, N.Y.
Head Coach Alma Kovaci Lee and the Black Knights earned their first Patriot League title since 2009.
Army senior setter Hannah Presley was awarded Tournament MVP honors as she finished the match with 43 assists to go with seven digs and six kills. Freshman outside hitter Mackenzie Karnig posted 16 kills, and senior libero Ana Oglivie recorded 18 digs on the day to join Presley on the Patriot League Volleyball All-Tournament Team.
Colgate sophomore defensive specialist Cami Carfino (nine digs) and senior libero Bridget Kolsky (14 digs) were selected to represent the Raiders on the all-tournament squad. American junior middle blocker Carlie Fikse (10 kills) and Holy Cross senior middle hitter Katie Kerins (11 kills, seven block assists) rounded out the seven-member all-tournament squad.
Army earns the Patriot League automatic qualifying bid to the 2020 NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship in Omaha. They will learn their first-round opponent when the NCAA Selection Show takes place on Sunday, April 4, at 4 p.m. on ESPNU.

* The Black Knights dropped the first and fourth sets but won the second, third and fourth sets.
* Army senior setter Hannah Presley led all players with 43 assists, while senior libero Ana Oglivie (18) and sophomore libero Sayler Butters (14) collected double-digits in digs.
* Freshman outside Mackenzie Karing led the Black Knights with a .464 hitting percentage and 16 kills, while freshman opposite hitter Allanah Cutler also contributed 16 kills.
* Parchment and Oglivie both tallied three service aces.
* Colgate senior outside hitter Alli Lowe recorded 22 kills while junior setter Julia Kurowski finished the match with 37 assists.
* The Raiders had a pair of student-athletes finish with double-figures in digs, including senior libero Bridget Kolsky (14) and freshman libero Taylor Cigna (10).
