BALTIMORE – Loyola Maryland junior guard Cam Spencer finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists to lead the Greyhounds to a 79-70 victory over Holy Cross at Reitz Arena.
*The Greyhounds’ offense was aided by senior guard Jaylin Andrews, who added 17 points, and senior guard Kenny Jones, who posted a game-high seven assists to go with his seven points. Freshman guard Nick Marshall chipped in 11 points on 3-of-3 shooting from deep.
*Loyola Maryland opened a double-digit lead through the game’s first five minutes, but the Crusaders stormed back behind 11 of sophomore guard Dajion Humphrey’s team-high 19 points to lead by as many as four points in the first half.
*The Greyhounds would respond with a 9-0 run to regain the lead before halftime and would never trail again to improve to 1-1 in League play.
*Humphrey led five Crusaders in double figures, with senior forward Gerrale Gates (14), freshman guard Kyrell Luc, and sophomore guard Judson Martindale (10) and Bo Montgomery (10) sharing the scoring load.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy senior guard John Carter Jr. led four Mids in double figures with 23 points in an 83-71 victory over Boston University to improve to 2-0 in Patriot League play.
*Carter Jr. connected on 9-of-16 from the floor, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range in addition to grabbing seven rebounds.
*Junior forward Tyler Nelson finished with a career-high 20 points on 7-for-10 shooting while connecting on 3-of-5 from deep. Junior forward Daniel Deaver added 18 points and nine rebounds, while sophomore guard Austin Inge finished with 12 points and five steals.
*Navy connected on 57.9 percent from 3-point range (11-for-19) to earn its first victory over the Terriers at Alumni Hall since Boston University joined the Patriot League for the 2013-14 season
*The Mids outrebounded the Terriers 37-22, including a 14-6 edge on the offensive glass that led to 23 second-chance points for Navy.
*All five of the Terriers’ starters scored in double figures led by graduate student forward Sukhmail Mathon, who finished with 18 points and eight boards.
*Graduate student guard Javante McCoy (12), senior forward Walter Whyte (11), senior guard Jonas Harper (10) and senior guard Fletcher Tynen (10) helped BU’s balanced scoring effort.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh freshman guard Keith Higgins Jr. scored a career-high 23 points, and senior forward Jeameril Wilson added 20 points to lead the Mountain Hawks to an 85-81 victory over Colgate at Stabler Arena.
*Higgins Jr. connected on 8-of-13 from the floor while pulling down five rebounds and dishing out four assists to help Lehigh improve to 2-0 in League play.
*Colgate erased a seven-point halftime deficit and opened a five-point lead with 7:06 remaining, but Wilson and Higgins Jr. combined for nine points during an 11-0 run to take control of the game.
*Lehigh senior center Nic Lynch recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while junior guard Reed Fenton chipped in 12 points.
*The Mountain Hawks outscored Colgate 16-0 on points off turnovers to take advantage of 13 Raiders’ turnovers.
*Colgate senior guard Tucker Richardson led the team with 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor, including 4-for-4 from beyond the arc.
*Graduate student guard Jack Ferguson and senior guard Nelly Cummings finished with 18 and 16 points, respectively, for the Raiders.

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Army West Point freshman Jalen Rucker finished with 21 points, and senior forward Aaron Duhart scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Black Knights to a 96-89 win over Bucknell to improve to 2-0 in League play.
*Duhart and Rucker also recorded five assists apiece, while senior guard Josh Caldwell (16) and sophomore forward Charlie Peterson (13) scored in double figures.
*The Black Knights’ shot 60 percent (39-for-65) from the floor, outscoring the Bison 58-34 in the paint and 24-9 off turnovers.  
*Bucknell senior guard Andrew Funk finished with a game-high 28 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the floor.
*Funk’s jumper with 11:14 remaining in the game gave the Bison a one-point lead before the Black Knights scored 15 of the next 18 points to take control of a game that featured 17 lead changes.
*Junior forward Jake van der Heijden posted career-highs with 20 points and five assists. Sophomore center Andre Screen added 17 points, and junior guard Xander Rice contributed 15 points for the Bison.

WASHINGTON - The Patriot League men’s basketball game between American and Lafayette, scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 4, has been postponed due to COVID protocols within the American men’s basketball program. The contest between the Eagles and Leopards will be rescheduled following discussions with both schools and the League office.
