Haskins and Ng break Patriot League records during Week Eight

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bucknell scored nine points in the final 2:05 of the fourth quarter, capped by a 19-yard field goal by freshman placekicker Matt Schearer, to capture a 19-17 victory over Lehigh at Goodman Stadium.
*Schearer connected on a pair of field goals in the fourth quarter, including a career-long 48-yarder at the 14:20 mark to tie the score at 10, setting up a dramatic final frame.
*Lehigh sophomore running back Gaige Garcia put the Mountain Hawks in front, 17-10, with a one-yard touchdown with under five minutes remaining. Garcia led Lehigh with 41 rushing yards on 16 carries.
*The Bison answered nearly three minutes later, as sophomore running back Rushawn Baker finished the seven-play drive with a dive into the end zone with 2:05 remaining in regulation, but Lehigh blocked the ensuing extra point to maintain a 17-16 lead.
*Bucknell recovered an onside kick and used 11 plays and nearly two minutes before Schearer sealed the comeback with a game-winning field goal.
*Baker led the Bison with 48 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. Junior quarterback Nick Semptimphelter completed 13-of-28 passes for 146 yards.   
*Bucknell senior safety Brent Jackson had five tackles, one sack and his second interception in as many weeks. Sophomore safety Alex Smith Jr. also recorded his second interception in two weeks for the Bison.
*Lehigh junior quarterback Dante Perri completed 19-of-34 passes for 160 yards and an interception, while freshman wide receiver had nine receptions for 70 yards.
*Lehigh junior linebacker Mike DeNucci finished with a game-high 11 tackles and 1.0 TFL.
*Sophomore safety Logan Jones had nine tackles and two pass breakups, while sixth-year linebacker Nate Norris had six tackles, one sack and a pass breakup.

HAMILTON, N.Y. – Colgate sophomore quarterback Michael Brescia rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries to lead the Raiders to a 34-24 victory over Georgetown at Andy Kerr Stadium.
*The Raiders’ offense rolled for 331 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.
*Brescia rushed for a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter to break a 3-3 tie, giving Colgate a 17-3 lead at the break.
*Georgetown junior quarterback Pierce Holley accounted for three second-half touchdowns, rushing for one and passing for two more to help the Hoyas close to within three points, at 27-24, early in the fourth quarter. Holley completed 31-of-44 passes for 346 yards.
*Colgate junior running back Jaedon Henry broke off a 40-yard touchdown run at the 10:55 mark in the fourth quarter to put the Raiders in front for good at 34-24. He finished with 78 yards on 10 carries.
*Senior defensive back Mikey Jarmolowich finished with eight tackles, two pass breakups and an interception for the Raiders. Freshman defensive back Taitwoine Sanders added a team-high nine tackles, and senior linebacker Tyler Flick had eight tackles and 2.0 TFLs.
*Georgetown graduate student wide receiver Joshua Tomas caught 11 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown, while senior wide receiver Dorrian Moultrie had five catches for 77 yards.
*Graduate student linebacker Justin Fonteneaux recorded a game-high 13 tackles, while senior defensive back Jovone Campbell finished with 12 tackles for the Hoyas. Freshman defensive lineman Mateen Ibirogba added four tackles, 2.0 TFLs and one sack.

EASTON, Pa. – Holy Cross junior quarterback Matthew Sluka’s fourth-down pass to sophomore wide receiver Justin Shorter in the end zone with four minutes left in the fourth quarter lifted the Crusaders to a 24-21 victory over Lafayette at Fisher Stadium.
*The Leopards held a 21
-17 lead late in the fourth quarter after sophomore quarterback Ah-Shaun Davis threw second-half touchdown passes to freshman wide receiver Elijah Steward and junior receiver Carl Smith to erase a 10-point halftime deficit.
*Holy Cross was in control entering halftime, as senior cornerback Devin Haskins blocked his fourth punt in as many games and returned it 14 yards for a touchdown. His blocked punt broke the Patriot League’s single-season record with four.
*Senior placekicker Derek Ng connected on a 31-yard field goal and went 3-for-3 on PATs to pass Fordham’s Michael Marando as the Patriot League’s career kick scoring leader with 285 points.
*In addition to his blocked punt, Haskins recorded five tackles and an interception. Senior linebacker Liam Anderson led the way with seven tackles and one TFL.
*Lafayette senior running back Jaden Sutton finished with 133 yards on 19 carries, while Steward had 74 yards on seven catches.
*Senior linebacker Marco Olivas had a game-high 13 tackles, senior defensive lineman Damon Washington had four tackles and one sack and senior defensive lineman Malik Hamm had two tackles, 1.5 TFLs and one sack.
