WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior wide receiver Ayir Asante rushed into the end zone for a two-point conversion in overtime to lift No. 8/5 Holy Cross to a 53-52 victory over No. 15/22 Fordham at Fitton Field on Saturday.
*Crusaders’ junior quarterback Matthew Sluka completed a nine-yard touchdown pass to sophomore wide receiver Justin Shorter in overtime to set up the game-winning two-point play.
*Sluka was named the Ram-Crusader Cup MVP after completing 15-of-23 passes for 291 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 174 yards and a score.
*Junior wide receiver Jalen Coker caught passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns, while Shorter finished with seven catches for 127 yards and a score. Senior running back Peter Oliver added 95 yards on the ground and a pair of touchdowns in the dramatic win.
*Crusaders’ senior safety Walter Reynolds posted a team-high nine tackles, and senior safety Terrell Prince had six tackles and 2.0 TFLs.
*Fordham senior quarterback Tim DeMorat broke the Patriot League single-season record for touchdown passes after throwing for 256 yards and five scores in the loss. DeMorat’s 38 touchdown passes through eight games passed the previous record of 35 by Fordham great Michael Nebrich.
*Rams’ senior wide receiver Dequece Carter caught four passes for 107 yards and three touchdowns, while junior wide receiver Mekai Felton found the end zone twice on four catches for 92 yards. Sophomore running back Julius Loughridge rushed for 121 yards and a TD on 15 carries.
*Sophomore linebacker James Conway registered a game-high 11 tackles, and senior linebacker Stephen Williams II had eight tackles and two pass breakups.
*Fordham erased an early 14-3 deficit behind a pair of second-quarter touchdown passes from DeMorat to Felton, giving the Rams a 24-21 lead at the half.
*The Rams and Crusaders traded scores throughout the second half, with Sluka finding Coker on a 15-yard touchdown pass for the equalizer with 1:24 remaining in regulation.
*Fordham scored on the first play of overtime, as DeMorat threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Carter.
*Sluka followed seven plays later with a nine-yard strike to Shorter, followed by Asante’s two-point conversion to seal the victory.

EASTON, Pa. – Georgetown jumped out to a 17-point lead and never looked back, defeating Lafayette, 30-20, at Fisher Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
*Junior quarterback Pierce Holley completed 28-of-38 for 250 yards and two touchdowns, while graduate student Joshua Tomas caught 12 passes for 132 yards and a score to lead the Hoyas’ offense.
*Graduate student linebacker Justin Fonteneaux posted a team-high 11 tackles, and freshman defensive lineman Mateen Ibirogba registered 2.5 sacks. Graduate defensive lineman Quincy Chinwuko added 2.0 sacks for Georgetown.
*Lafayette junior quarterback Rent Montie completed 6-of-11 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown. Freshman receiver Elijah Steward caught four passes for 81 yards and a touchdown for the Leopards.
*Sophomore defensive back Saiku White and junior linebacker Preston Forney had nine tackles apiece, while junior defensive back Semaj Cross and senior defensive lineman Malik Hamm had one sack apiece.
*The Hoyas jumped out to a 17-0 lead as Holley threw a first-quarter touchdown pass to Tomas, senior running back Joshua Stakely rushed for a two-yard score in the second quarter and junior placekicker Richard Abood II booted a 27-yard field goal.
*The Leopards answered with 41 seconds left in the first half on sophomore quarterback Ah-Shaun Davis’s five-yard touchdown pass to Steward.
*Senior running back Jaden Sutton rushed for a two-yard score to bring the Leopards within four points, but GU answered with a touchdown run from graduate student running Herman Moultrie III and a 49-yard touchdown reception by freshman receiver Jimmy Kibble.
*Lafayette’s Montie threw a late touchdown pass to freshman tight end Dallas Holmes.

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Colgate sophomore quarterback Michael Brescia rushed for a pair of touchdowns to lead the Raiders to a 13-7 victory over Bucknell at Christy Mathewson – Memorial Stadium.
*Brescia completed 20-of-28 passes for 176 yards and rushed for 66 yards and two scores, and junior running back Jaedon Henry carried 10 times for 66 yards to lead the Raiders to improve to 2-1 in League play.
*Raiders’ senior defensive back Mikey Jarmolowich made 11 tackles, four pass breakups and 1.0 TFL, while senior linebacker Tyler Flick recorded nine tackles.
*Bucknell sophomore running back Rushawn Baker rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
*Senior safety Brent Jackson recorded a game-high 16 tackles, 3.0 TFLs, one sack and a pass breakup. Junior linebacker Blake Leake and sophomore cornerback Ethan Robinson had eight tackles apiece.
*Brescia broke a scoreless tie with a five-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter before extending the Raiders’ lead with a one-yard plunge in the third quarter to take a 13-0 lead.
*Bucknell’s Baker found the end zone with a one-yard run at the 7:57 mark in the fourth quarter, but it would be the last offense the Bison could muster.
