DURHAM, N.H. – No. 13/16 Fordham (9-3, 5-1 PL) fell to No. 16/15 New Hampshire (9-3, CAA), 52-42, in the First Round of the NCAA DI FCS Championship on Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium in Durham, N.H.
Patriot League champion Holy Cross (11-0, 6-0 PL), the No. 8 seed in the championship, will host the Wildcats in the second round at Fitton Field on Saturday, Dec. 3. Live coverage from Worcester, Mass. will begin at noon on ESPN+.
Patriot League Football Records Broken
Fordham senior quarterback and three-time Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year Tim DeMorat became the League’s all-time passing yardage leader, finishing his career with 13,461 yards. Holy Cross’s Dominic Randolph was the previous leader, throwing for 13,455 yards from 2006 through 2009. DeMorat finished the game with 330 passing yards and three touchdowns.
Rams’ senior wide receiver Fotis Kokosioulis broke a Patriot League post-season single-game record with 14 receptions. Lehigh’s Ryan Spadola (2011) and Fordham’s Dan Light (2013) previously held the record with 13. Kokosioulis finished with a game-high 132 receiving yards and two rushing touchdowns.

DURHAM, N.H. – Fordham senior quarterback Tim DeMorat became the Patriot League’s career passing yardage leader after throwing for 330 and three touchdowns, but the Rams fell to host New Hampshire in the first round of the FCS Playoffs.
*DeMorat completed 25-of-41 passes for 330 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.
*Senior wide receiver Fotis Kokosioulis caught a Patriot League single-game post-season record with 14 receptions for 132 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
*Senior wide receiver MJ Wright finished with five receptions for 95 yards and a score, while senior running back Trey Sneed carried 17 times for 139 yards. Sophomore running back Julius Loughridge added 75 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.
*The Wildcats took advantage of three Fordham first-half turnovers to take a 28-7 lead by the 11:31 mark in the second quarter.
* DeMorat answered at the 8:56 mark in the second frame with a 51-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Dequece Carter to cut New Hampshire’s lead in half.
*Rams’ freshman defensive back Alex Kemper blocked a 40-yard field goal attempt on New Hampshire’s ensuing possession to keep them from extending their lead.
*Wright caught a 51-yard score from DeMorat later in the quarter to help Fordham cut the deficit to seven points by halftime.
*New Hampshire regained momentum in the third quarter scoring on the first play of the half, then answering Loughridge’s 25-yard touchdown run with an eight-play drive that resulted in a touchdown to take a 42-28 lead.
*The Rams cut the lead to 10 early in the fourth quarter on Kokosioulis’ first touchdown run, but the Wildcats added a 43-yard field goal and junior running back Dylan Laube’s third touchdown of the game to seal Fordham’s fate.
*Kokosioulis scored on a six-yard run on Fordham’s last possession of the game to make the final score 52-42.
*Fordham graduate student linebacker Ryan Greenhagen finished with 10 tackles, giving him 424 during his decorated career. He finishes one tackle behind Lehigh’s Lee Picariello and Holy Cross’s David Streeter for the League’s career record.
*Sophomore linebacker James Conway led the Rams with 13 tackles, while senior defensive back Stephen Williams II added 12 tackles and 2.0 TFLs.
