BOSTONNavy senior forward Tyler Nelson scored a career-high 25 points, going 9-for-9 from the free-throw line, to lead the Midshipmen to a 75-58 victory over Boston University in the League season opener.
*Nelson connected on 6-of-10 from the floor, including going 4-of-6 from long distance. He helped the Mids overcome an early 9-2 deficit by scoring 15 points in the first half.
*Senior guard Sean Yoder chipped in 17 points and a team-high six boards.
*Graduate student forward Walter Whyte and senior guard Ethan Brittain-Watts led the Terriers with 16 points apiece.
*Boston University graduate student forward Fletcher Tynen added 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds in the loss.

WORCESTER, Mass. Holy Cross senior forward Gerrale Gates recorded a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds to help the Crusaders outlast Bucknell in a 60-58 victory in their League opener.
*Gates posted his Patriot League-leading fifth double-double of the season while shooting 11-of-17 from the floor.
*Junior guard Bo Montgomery added 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Crusaders.
*The Bison tied the score at 57 with less than two minutes to play on a layup by senior forward Jake van der Heijden, but freshman guard Will Batchelder put the Crusaders in front for good 30 seconds later.
*Bucknell senior center Alex Timmerman led the Bison with 18 points and nine rebounds, while senior guard Xander Rice added 10 points and three assists.

*Mann finished with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor. Freshman forward Ethan Roberts scored a career-high 23 points, connecting on 7-of-8 from the field, including 5-of-5 from long distance.
*Three more Black Knights scored in double-figures, with freshman guard Coleton Benson chipping in 12 points and juniors Charlie Peterson and Jalen Rucker contributing 10 points apiece.
*Lehigh sophomore guard Keith Higgins Jr. scored a game-high 28 points, making 10-of-16 from the floor and 6-of-9 from 3-point range.

*O’Neil matched his career-high of 10 rebounds, helping the Eagles outrebound the Leopards 37-19. He also stuffed the stat sheet with four assists, three steals and three blocked shots.
*Eagles’ junior forward Matt Rogers scored a game-high 14 points, while freshman guard Geoff Sprouse finished with eight points and six rebounds.
*Sophomore guard C.J. Fulton led the Leopards with 12 points and six assists, while senior forward Leo O’Boyle added 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
