BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Colgate senior guard Nelly Cummings was named to the NABC District 13 First Team when the 2022 NABC Division I All-District Teams were announced. Boston University graduate student forward Sukhmail Mathon, the 2021-22 Patriot League Player of the Year, and Loyola Maryland junior guard Cam Spencer made the NABC District 13 Second Team.
Cummings, a First Team All-Patriot League selection, averaged 14.5 points and 3.4 assists to lead the Raiders to their third League title and NCAA Tournament berth in four seasons. He was also named to the PenFed Credit Union Patriot League Men’s Basketball All-Tournament Team.
Mathon finished 13th in NCAA DI in rebounds (10.2 rpg) and eighth in double-doubles (17). The Shavertown, Pa. native also finished among the Patriot League leaders in scoring (15.1 ppg) during his player of the year campaign. Mathon was also an All-League first-team and defensive team selection.
Spencer earned All-Patriot League First Team honors after finishing first in the League in scoring with 18.9 points per game. He also led the League in steals (2.3 spg) and finished second in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.4).
