NEW YORK, N.Y.
- The historic season of senior Jennifer Coleman continues to garner attention from across the landscape of women's college basketball as the Associate Press announced Coleman as a 2021-22 Honorable Mention AP All-American on Wednesday afternoon. After breaking multiple program records and ranking amongst the nation's highest statistical achievers, Coleman is the first member of the Navy women's basketball program to ever be named an AP All-American and is just the third player in the Patriot League to attain such an accolade. Awarded for women's basketball since 1995, Coleman joins the likes of Holy Cross' Amy O'Brien (1997-98) and Bucknell's Molly Creamer (2002-03) as Patriot League players to be named Honorable Mention AP All-Americans.

The 2021-22 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and member of the All-Patriot League First Team, as well as the league's All-Tournament Team, Coleman finished her senior season averaging 22.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.8 steals over 38.0 minutes of action per game. She broke Navy's program records in scoring (689 points; previous record was 530), total rebounds (333; previous record was 286), defensive rebounds (269; previous record was 204) and minutes played (1,178; previous record was 1,135) as a senior. Leaving her mark on the national level, the Richmond, Virginia native ranked top-25 nationally in defensive rebounds per game (5th-8.7 d-rpg), double-doubles (7th-21), minutes per game (7th-38.06 mpg), points per game (9th-22.2 ppg), steals per game (17th-2.8 spg) and total rebounds per game (21st-10.7 rpg).

The selected players on the First, Second and Third Teams, as well as all members of the honorable mention list were chosen by a 30-person national media panel that votes in the AP Top-25 poll each week.
