BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The 2022 PenFed Credit Union Patriot League Women’s Basketball Championship will kick off with a pair of first-round matchups on Saturday, March 5.
No. 8 Navy hosts No. 9 Colgate at 1 p.m. while No. 7 Lafayette welcomes No. 10 Loyola Maryland at 2 p.m. Both games can be watched live on
ESPN+.

Several all-League performers will be in action on Saturday, including Defensive Player of the Year Navy senior Jennifer Coleman and Rookie of the Year Lex Therien of Loyola Maryland.

Season Series: Navy swept the two regular-season meetings against Colgate.
Game One (Jan. 12): Navy 65 at Colgate 62 – Navy senior guard Jennifer Coleman scored a game-high 23 points, while junior guard Mimi Schrader (18) and sophomore guard Sydne Watts (12) helped the Mids offense. Colgate finished with three players in double-digits in points, including freshman guard Morgan McMahon (21), sophomore forward Tiasia McMillan (12) and junior guard Alexa Brodie (11).
Game Two (Feb. 26): at Navy 52, Colgate 48 – Navy Kristina Donza paced the team with a career-high 19 points on 6-for-8 shooting from the field and 5-for-6 from beyond the arc. Coleman added 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Colgate was led by Brodie with 14 points, followed by McMillan (8).

Season Series: Lafayette swept the two regular-season meetings against Loyola.
Game One (Jan. 12): at Lafayette 48, Loyola 39 – Lafayette was led by junior guard Jessica Booth with 12 points, while sophomore guard Makayla Andrews led the Leopards in rebounds (7). Loyola freshman forward Lex Therien led all players with 16 points and 15 rebounds for her third-straight and fifth double-double of the season.
Game Two (Feb. 16): Lafayette 77 at Loyola 61 – Four Lafayette players finished in double-digits in points in the team’s 77-61 win , including freshman guard Abby Antognoli (20), senior forward Naomi Ganpo (11), Andrews (11) and freshman guard Claire Gallagher (11). Loyola was led by senior guard Taleah Dixon with 14 points followed by Therien with 13 points and 10 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the campaign.
