BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Three Patriot League football student-athletes were selected to the Stats Perform 2022 FCS Preseason All-America squad when it was released on Monday.
 
Holy Cross senior linebacker Jacob Dobbs and Fordham graduate student linebacker Ryan Greenhagen were selected to the Stats Perform 2022 FCS Preseason All-America First Team. Dobbs is the defending Patriot League Football Defensive Player of the Year. Greenhagen was selected as the League’s defensive player of the year following the 2021 spring season.
 
Lafayette fifth-year defensive lineman Malik Hamm earned second-team preseason All-America honors after being voted as the 2022 Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year last week. Hamm previously earned 2019 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and 2018 League rookie of the year honors.

Dobbs Earns Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Honors

Senior linebacker Jacob Dobbs of the Holy Cross football team has been named to the Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America first-team.

Dobbs, a three-time All-Patriot League honoree, was selected as a first team All-American by Stats Perform in 2021. He additionally earned All-America honors from the AFCA, HERO Sports and the Associated Press. He was a finalist and finished in the top 10 in voting for the Buck Buchanan Award, presented by Stats Perform to the nation's best defensive player at the FCS level.

Ryan Greenhagen Named Stats Perform 2022 FCS Preseason All-American

Fordham grad student Ryan Greenhagen has been named to the Stats Perform 2022 FCS Preseason All-America team. The linebacker was placed on the first team, one of three Patriot League student-athletes named to the Stats Perform 2022 FCS Preseason All-America team.
 
Greenhagen, a 2022 Preseason All-Patriot League section, was named to the 2022 East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 List. He enters 2022 season with 184 solo tackles and 35.5 career tackles for loss (TFL), both fifth-best in school history, along with 312 total tackles, fourth best. Greenhagen is first among active FCS players with 10.03 tackles per game and third with 1.32 TFLs per game through 31 career games.

Hamm Tabbed for Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team

Senior DL Malik Hamm has been selected to the 2022 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team.
 
It is the second such recognition for the second-team selection, who also secured the honor prior to the 2021 fall season. In late July, Hamm was named the Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year for the second time in his career. A Psychology major, Hamm is a four-time All-Patriot League selection who has secured All-Patriot League First-Team status each of the last three seasons.
