BALTIMORE – Sophomore guard Keith Higgins Jr. scored 27 points, and senior guard Evan Taylor added 20 points to lead Lehigh to a 74-70 victory over Loyola Maryland at Reitz Arena.
*Higgins Jr. connected on 7-of-10 from the floor, 3-of-5 from 3-point range to help the Mountain Hawks secure their fifth straight victory. He also made 10-of-10 from the free-throw line, including four in the last 15 seconds.
*Taylor posted his first double-double of the season with 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, while sophomore guard Tyler Whitney-Sidney added 18 points for Lehigh.
*The Greyhounds led by as many as nine points in the first half, but Lehigh closed the frame on a 16-4 run to take a 35-32 lead into the break.
*Graduate student guard Kenneth Jones led three Greyhounds in double-figures with a career-high 23 points. He scored seven points in the last 2:14 of regulation to keep Loyola Maryland in striking distance.
*Freshman guard Deon Perry, the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, finished with 14 points, and graduate student guard Jaylin Andrews contributed 11 for the Greyhounds.
