WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman guard Geoff Sprouse hit a corner 3-pointer as time expired in regulation to send the game to overtime, and American took control in the extra period to earn a 73-68 victory over Holy Cross to improve to 3-0 in League play.
*The Eagles erased a seven-point deficit with less than a minute remaining in the second half, as junior forward Johnny O’Neil and Sprouse connected on 3-pointers with less than eight seconds left.
*Sophomore guard Elijah Stephens led the Eagles with a career-high 21 points, including 15 between the second half and overtime. He also added five assists, four steals and three rebounds.
*Junior forward Matt Rogers recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds for American.
*Holy Cross senior forward Gerrale Gates scored a game-high 25 points, pulled down nine rebounds and recorded three steals and three blocks.
*Crusaders’ junior guard Joe Octave and freshman guard Will Batchelder chipped in 12 and 10 points, respectively.

*Senior guard Fletcher Tynen recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards, while junior guards Miles Brewster and Daman Tate finished with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
*Lafayette junior guard Eric Sondberg scored a career-high 20 points, connecting on 4-of-8 from 3-point range.

*The two-time defending Patriot League Rookie of the Week added seven assists, three rebounds and two steals while connecting on 5-of-11 from the floor.
*Senior forward Keegan Records scored 16 points, senior guards Tucker Richardson and Oliver Lynch-Daniels scored 12 apiece, and junior guard Chandler Baker added 10 points off the bench for a Colgate squad that connected on 55 percent (32-58) from the floor and 56 percent (9-for-16) from beyond the arc.
*Senior forwards Tyler Nelson, Daniel Deaver and senior guard Christian Jones scored 12 points apiece to lead the Midshipmen.

*Whitney-Sidney connected on 10-of-13 from the floor while stuffing the stat sheet with seven rebounds, five assists and three steals to help the Mountain Hawks to their first League win of the season.
*Taylor made 3-of-6 from 3-point range for 20 points and pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. Sophomore guard Keith Higgins Jr. chipped in 12 points for Lehigh.
*Bucknell senior center Alex Timmerman scored a career-high 27 points on 12-of-18 shooting from the field. He pulled down 10 boards for his fourth double-double of the season.
*Senior guard Xander Rice scored 14 points, dished out a game-high seven assists, and added three assists and three steals for the Bison.

*Junior forward Charlie Peterson finished with 14 points and five boards to help the Black Knights win their fourth straight game.
*Loyola Maryland graduate student guard Kenneth Jones scored a team-high 16 points with three steals, two rebounds and two assists.
