BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The 2023 PenFed Credit Union Patriot League Women's Soccer Championship field of six is set, as the League’s regular-season schedule ended on Wednesday night.
For the second straight year, Army West Point (9-6-3, 6-2-1 PL) earned the No. 1 seed in the Patriot League Women’s Soccer Championship and claimed the regular-season title after defeating Boston University, 2-1, on Wednesday.
Bucknell (11-3-4, 5-1-3 PL) captured the No. 2 seed with a 2-1 victory over Lehigh. The Black Knights and Bison receive a bye through the quarterfinal round.
The quarterfinal round of the 2023 Patriot League Women’s Soccer Championship is scheduled for Oct. 29. No. 5 Lehigh (7-5-4, 4-4-1 PL) will travel to Boston, Mass. to play No. 4 Boston University (7-6-5, 4-3-2 PL) at 1 p.m., while No. 6 Colgate (4-12-2, 3-5-1 PL) will play No. 3 Loyola Maryland (11-5, 6-3 PL) at 2 p.m. in Baltimore, Md.
The lowest-remaining seed will advance to the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 2, to play at No. 1 Army, while the highest advancing seed will play at No. 2 Bucknell.
The 2023 PenFed Credit Union Patriot League Women's Soccer Championship Game will be played on Sunday, Nov. 5, at noon. The host site for the title game will be the highest-remaining seed.
Each game of the quarterfinal and semifinal round will be available on ESPN+. The Patriot League Women’s Soccer Championship Game will be televised on CBS Sports Network with Jason Knapp and Anna Witte providing the call.
