BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Lafayette junior guard Abby Antognoli was named Patriot League PenFed Credit Union
Women’s Basketball Player of the Week when the League office announced the awards on Monday. Bucknell freshman forward Ashley Sofilkanich earned rookie of the week.
Antognoli had back-to-back double-figure scoring efforts this past week, with a career-high 25 points in the Leopards’ win over UMBC.
Sofilkanich finished the week with 40 points, 14 rebounds, and six blocks in games against Saint Joseph’s and Cornell.
Lehigh junior guard Ella Stemmer, Loyola Maryland sophomore guard Kelly Ratigan and Navy freshman guard Zanai Barnett-Gay received honorable mention recognition.
The Patriot League women’s basketball players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s sports information director, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Abby Antognoli, Lafayette, Jr., G, Bay Head, N.J./Saint Rose
* Antognoli set a career-high with 25 points in the team's 59-53 win over UMBC, to go with two rebounds, two assists and three steals.
* Against the Retrievers, she shot 50 percent from the floor, 5-for-9 from downtown and 8-for-9 from the foul line.
* Against Big 10 opponent Rutgers, the junior guard led the team with 15 points, along with two boards, six assists and two steals.
PenFed Credit Union Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week
Ashley Sofilkanich, Bucknell, Fr., F, South Amboy, N.J./Saint John Vianny
* Sofilkanich finished the week with 40 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks against Saint Joseph’s and Cornell.
* The freshman had 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting, five rebounds, two blocks and one steal versus Saint Joseph’s.
* She closed the week out with a career-high performance against Cornell with 22 points, nine rebounds and four blocks.

* Stemmer averaged 15.5 points, 2.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in a 2-0 week to help guide Lehigh to a 7-1 start, which is one of the best starts in program history.
Kelly Ratigan, Loyola Maryland, So., G, South Bend, Ind.
* Ratigan scored a career-high 23 points against St. John's, followed by a 14-point performance in the win over Mount St. Mary's. She went 9-for-15 from three-point range on the week.
Zanai Barnett-Gay, Navy, Fr., G, Glenn Dale, Md./Riverdale Baptist
* Barnett-Gay paced the Mids this week as she averaged 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 4.0 steals in games versus William & Mary and Wagner.
