BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Boston University and Navy collected two of the five Patriot League women’s lacrosse weekly awards apiece when the League office announced the first set of 2023 season honors on Monday. Lehigh garnered one accolade.
Boston University senior midfielder Jennifer Barry received Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Midfielder of the Week after recording eight points on six goals and two assists, along with 11 draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 17-7 win over Merrimack. Terriers’ junior goalkeeper Reilly Agres earned goalkeeper of the week honors after making seven saves against the Warriors.
Navy senior defender Athena Carroon claimed Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after compiling six ground balls, three caused turnovers and a draw control in two games. Freshman midfielder Ava Yovino received rookie of the week honors after posting eight goals, five assists and five draw controls during the two-game weekend.
Lehigh senior attack Katia Carnevale was named Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Attacker of the Week after her five-goal performance against Delaware.
Army West Point junior goalkeeper Lacey Bartholomay and senior attack Julia Franzoni, Boston University senior attack Lauren Kaye, Holy Cross sophomore midfielder Ella Kittredge, Lehigh sophomore defender Lauren Winfield and Navy sophomore attack Lola Leone all received honorable mentions for their performances last week.

*She finished with two caused turnovers, one draw control and one ground ball in a loss against the No. 11 Blue Devils.
*The senior defender picked up five ground balls and caused one turnover in a 15-14 win over the Pirates.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

*Agres posted a .500 save percentage with seven saves to help Boston University to a 17-7 victory over Merrimack.
*The junior goalkeeper also picked up two ground balls while playing the full 60 minutes in the win against the Warriors.

*Yovino totaled eight goals, five assists and five draw controls to help Navy go 1-1 with a 15-14 victory over East Carolina on Sunday.
*She finished with five goals, three assists, three draw controls and two caused turnovers in the victory against the Pirates.
*The freshman midfielder recorded three goals and two assists in a loss against No. 11 Duke.
