Patriot League Football Programs Announce Early Signing Period Classes

BUCKNELL BISON
Bucknell head football coach Dave Cecchini announced the signing of 16 players to National Letters of Intent (NLIs) as part of NCAA football's Early Signing Period. The class is comprised of three wide receivers, two running backs, one linebacker, one defensive lineman, one quarterback, three defensive backs, two offensive linemen, two tight ends, and one tight end/offensive lineman. The 16 signees represent nine states and Canada: Georgia (2), Kentucky (1), Maryland (1), Massachusetts (2), New Jersey (4), New York (1), Ohio (1), Pennsylvania (2), Virginia (1) and British Columbia (1).

COLGATE RAIDERS
Colgate head football coach Stan Dakosty bolstered the Raiders' roster with the announcement of 24 incoming student-athletes on National Signing Day. The pool of incoming Raiders hail from 13 states and cover eight positions.

"The momentum we took from the strong push at the end of the season really showed up in the final stretch of recruiting heading into this signing day. FORDHAM RAMS
Fordham head football coach Joe Conlin announces the signing of 10 football student-athletes to NLIs with the Rams for the 2024 season. The class features five defensive players, four offensive players and one kicker. By position, the defensive line leads the way with three, followed by two on the offensive line, and one each at defensive back, kicker, linebacker, quarterback, and wide receiver.

The 10 newcomers hail from six states. Three newcomers come from New Jersey, while Arizona and Texas are represented by two newcomers each. Maryland, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania have one signing apiece. FORDHAM FOOTBALL RELEASE
 
GEORGETOWN HOYAS
Georgetown head football coach Rob Sgarlata announced the signing of nine players to NLIs for the incoming class of 2024 as part of college football's Signing Day. The nine student-athletes will come to the Hilltop as members of Georgetown's Class of 2028 and will join the Hoyas for the Fall 2024 season. The nine newcomers hail from seven states, including California and Florida. Overall, the group includes five offensive players and four on defense.

HOLY CROSS CRUSADERS
Holy Cross added 11 student-athletes to the program during the early signing period. The student-athletes joining Holy Cross hail from seven states, including four players from Maryland and two from Ohio. The class includes three wide receivers, two offensive linemen, two defensive backs, one defensive lineman, one linebacker, one tight end and one running back. The incoming student-athletes will play under the direction of head coach Dan Curran, who was hired in December.

LAFAYETTE LEOPARDS
Lafayette football head coach John Troxell has secured the commitments of 12 student-athletes on the early signing day. The incoming recruiting class, which is expected to grow on National Signing Day in February added six defensive players and six offensive players as part of the Class of 2028. The Leopards brought in two linebackers, two defensive linemen and two defensive backs to go with three offensive linemen, a wide receiver, a tight end and a quarterback in the 12th scholarship recruiting class in the Patriot League era. The recruiting class is one of the most geographically diverse in school history as three countries (Canada, Netherlands, United States) and nine U.S. states and territories are represented. The Keystone State was the only of the nine to yield more than one signee in the early signing period, as two Lehigh Valley products joined the Leopards from Nazareth Area High School.

LEHIGH MOUNTAIN HAWKS
Lehigh head coach Kevin Cahill has announced the addition of 17 student-athletes who will join the Mountain Hawks football program in the summer. The first members of the Class of 2028 cover nearly every position group, with a heavy focus on the offensive side of the ball. This incoming group features four offensive linemen, three wide receivers, two tight ends and two quarterbacks. It also includes a running back, two linebackers, a defensive lineman, a safety and a kicker/punter. Seven states are represented in the incoming class, highlighted by nine from Pennsylvania. New Jersey is home to three signees, while Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia are also represented.
