2024 Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Semifinal Preview (11.21.24)

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The 2024 Women’s Volleyball Championship continues Friday, Nov. 22 with a pair of semifinal matches.

No. 2 Bucknell will face off against No. 4 Army West Point at 2:30 p.m. at Cotterell Court on the campus of Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y.

No. 1 Colgate will host No. 6 Lehigh at 5:30 p.m. Both matches will be available on ESPN+.

The semifinal round winners will meet in the 2024 Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Championship Match on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m.

The Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Championship will be televised on ESPN+ with Jon Gross and Patriot League Multimedia Journalist Paige Messier providing the call.

Volleyball Faces Army in the Patriot League Semifinals
Bucknell will face Army West Point in the semifinal round of the Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Championship on Friday, Nov. 22 at 2:30 p.m. The two teams split the season series with each team winning on its home court. The Black Knights lead the all-time series, 47-16, and are 2-1 against the Bison in Patriot League Tournament meetings.

Led by 2024 Patriot League Setter of the Year Caleigh O’Connell, 2024 Patriot League Libero of the Year Jordan Hardy and 2024 Barry Goldberg Patriot League Coach of the Year Tyler Hagstrom, Bucknell seeks its first League tournament victory since 2006.

Volleyball Begins Patriot League Title Quest
The four-team Patriot League volleyball tournament returns to Cotterell Court for the fifth consecutive year and pits top-seeded Colgate with sixth-seeded Lehigh in semifinal action Friday night at 5:30 p.m.

Colgate swept the regular-season series against Lehigh, winning six of seven total sets in the head-to-head matchups including a 3-0 sweep in the final home match of the regular season on Nov. 9.

No. 6 Lehigh Travels To Hamilton For Patriot League Semifinal With No. 1 Colgate
After Lehigh volleyball's stunning upset of American in the Patriot League quarterfinal on Tuesday, the postseason push for the Mountain Hawks continues this Friday. The Mountain Hawks will head north to face the top-seeded Colgate Raiders in the semifinal round at 5:30 p.m.

No. 6 Lehigh (16-12, 8-8 PL) and No. 1 Colgate (17-10, 14-2 PL) have met twice in the Patriot League tournament, with the Raiders winning both matchups. The Mountain Hawks dropped a 3-1 decision to the Raiders in Bethlehem in September before falling 3-0 to Colgate on the road on November 9.
