Patriot League Named a Finalist for Two 2024 SVG College Sports Media Awards

League has been a finalist for at least one honor in each of the last seven years

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League was selected as a finalist for two 2024 College Sports Media Awards when the nominees were announced by The Sports Video Group (SVG) and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
 
The Patriot League is a finalist for Outstanding Live Game Production and Outstanding Special Feature within the Collegiate Conferences and Governing Bodies Division.
 
"We are honored to have had features and live productions selected as finalists in the past, and we are extremely excited to have another pair of finalists this year," Patriot League Assistant Commissioner for Multimedia Jimmy Johnson said. "It is a great testament to the hard work put in by our multimedia staff at the Patriot League."
 
The Patriot League on ESPN’s third-day coverage of the 2024 Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championship was nominated for Outstanding Live Game Production, along with nominees from the American Athletic Conference (AAC), Sun Belt Conference and USA Water Polo. Johnson served as the executive director, producer and technical director. Cory Nidoh provided play-by-play and Patriot League multimedia intern Ashley Groover, a recent Kutztown University graduate, served as an assistant producer and replay operator.

The Patriot League's feature is joined in the category with nominees from the American Athletic Conference (AAC) and the Mountain West. 
 
SVG AWARDS NOTES
*The Patriot League has won two SVG Awards, including the 2022 award for Outstanding Program Series for its "#TitleIXat50 Series."
*The League has been a finalist for Outstanding Live Production in five of the last six years, winning the honor for the 2019 Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships.
*The Patriot League has been a finalist in at least one category in each of the last seven years.
*Army West Point Athletics is a finalist in two categories in the Collegiate Athletics – Championship Division, including, Outstanding Special Feature – Scripted, Outstanding Special Feature – Unscripted and Outstanding Social Media Video
* Holy Cross Athletics is a finalist for Outstanding In-Venue Video for the second consecutive year with its “2023 Holy Cross Football Intro Video.”
 
CEREMONY INFORMATION
Finalists were selected by SVG and NACDA, while winners will be selected by a panel of judges and announced at the 16th-annual SVG College Sports Media Awards on May 29 at 5 p.m. The in-person ceremony will be held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.
