Patriot League Announces Field Hockey Players of the Week presented by Credit Union 1 (10.13.25)

Bucknell claims three weekly honors, American receives two

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bucknell collected three of the five Patriot League field hockey weekly awards when the League office announced honors, presented by Credit Union 1, on Monday. American claimed one weekly accolade.  
 
Bucknell sophomore Reese Czajkowski was voted Patriot League Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week after totaling three points in a 4-0 victory over Boston University to improve to 3-1 in League play. Bison senior Kira Leclercq picked up her third Patriot League Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week after recording one goal and one defensive save against the Terriers, while junior Sarah Althouse received Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week with a six-save shutout in the win.
 
American junior Emilia Winkler won Patriot League Field Hockey Midfielder of the Week honors after tallying four assists in the Eagles’ 5-0 win over Towson. Freshman Ninthe Botman received Patriot League Field Hockey Rookie of the Week, totaling three points on one goal and one assist in the win over the Tigers.
 
American junior forward Jordan Reicher, Bucknell senior midfielder Gianna Puorro, Colgate junior forward Morgan Willis, Lafayette junior midfielder Stella Malinowski and junior defender Lena Thedrian and Lehigh junior goalkeeper Kate Burgess, senior defender Zoe Day and senior forward Madison Noh received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
 
The Patriot League field hockey players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Reese Czajkowski, Bucknell, So., Forward, Berwyn, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame de Namur
*Czajkowski totaled three points on one goal and one assist in Bucknell’s 4-0 victory over Boston University on Saturday.
*She scored the Bison’s fourth goal of the game late in the fourth quarter to extend her scoring streak to five games.
 
Patriot League Credit Union 1 Field Hockey Midfielder of the Week
Emilia Winkler, American, Jr., Midfielder, Berlin, Germany/Kant-Oberschule
*Winkler recorded four assists in American’s 5-0 win against Towson on Wednesday.
*She played 67 of 74 minutes, limiting VCU to three penalty corners in a 1-0 double overtime loss.

Kira Leclercq, Bucknell, Sr., Defender, Berlin, Germany/ Vicco von Bülow Gymnasium Stahnsdorf
*Leclercq scored one goal and had a defensive save in Bucknell’s 4-0 victory over Boston University to improve to 3-1 in League play.
*She led a Bison defense that recorded its fourth shutout of the season, limiting the Terriers to eight shots on goal and six penalty corners.  
 
Patriot League Credit Union 1 Field Hockey Goalkeeper of the Week
Sarah Althouse, Bucknell, Jr., Goalkeeper, Reading, Pa./Muhlenburg
*Althouse posted her fourth shutout of the season, finishing with six saves in Bucknell’s 4-0 win over Boston University on Saturday.
*The junior goalkeeper made five first-half saves to keep the game locked in a scoreless tie before the Bison offense tallied four goals in the second half.
 
Patriot League Credit Union 1 Field Hockey Rookie of the Week
Ninthe Botman, American, Fr., Forward, Nieuwkoop, The Netherlands/Scala College
*Botman scored the Eagles’ first goal of the game in a 5-0 victory over Towson on Wednesday.
*She added an assist in the third quarter against the Tigers.

Jordan Reicher, American, Jr., Forward, Redwood City, Calif./Saint Francis
*Reicher scored American’s second goal in a 5-0 victory over Towson on Wednesday. She is second in the Patriot League with eight goals.
 
Gianna Puorro, Bucknell, Sr., Midfielder, North Caldwell, N.J./West Essex Regional
*Puorro scored the game-winning goal in Bucknell’s 4-0 win over Boston University. She has totaled six points in four games since her return from injury.
 
Morgan Willis, Colgate, Jr., Forward, Madison, N.J./Oak Knoll
*Willis scored the game-winning goal in the Raiders’ 2-1 win over Stonehill on Sunday. The junior forward scored on two shots against the Seahawks, tying her for second in the Patriot League with eight goals this season.
 
Stella Malinowski, Lafayette, Jr., Midfielder, Vancouver, B.C., Canada/Little Flower Academy
Malinowski recorded two assists in Lafayette’s 6-2 win over Holy Cross on Friday. She assisted the Leopards’ second and third goals.
 
Lena Thedrian, Lafayette, Jr., Defender, Hamburg, Germany/Rudolf Steiner Schule Hamburg-Wandsbek
*Thedrian scored three goals, while helping the Leopards’ defense limit Holy Cross to eight shots, including three on goal, in a 6-2 win over the Crusaders. She also helped Lafayette limit Quinnipiac to one shot on goal and six corners in a 1-0 loss.
 
Kate Burgess, Lehigh, Jr., Goalkeeper, Holden, Mass./The Governor’s Academy
*Burgess earned a 3-0 shutout win over Colgate, making two saves to help the Mountain Hawks to their first League win of the season. She added 11 saves in a 2-0 loss at Cornell.
 
Zoe Day, Lehigh, Sr., Defender, Severna Park, Md./Severna Park
*Day scored the game-winning goal in Lehigh’s 3-0 victory over Colgate on Saturday. She also recorded a defensive save in the second half of a 2-0 loss at Cornell.
