Patriot League Announces Swimmers and Divers of the Week (10.14.25)

Army West Point, Boston University and Navy collect weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Boston University collected three of the six Patriot League men’s and women’s swimming and diving weekly awards when the Patriot League office announced the first set of honors on Tuesday.

Army West Point sophomore Johnny Crush collected Patriot League Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors for the eighth time in his career following a pair of first-place finishes and a third-place finish in the Black Knights’ 148-57 win over VMI.

Black Knights’ senior Molly Webber captured Patriot League Women’s Swimmer of the Week, presented by Credit Union One, for the second time in her career after winning three races in Army West Point’s victory over VMI.

Boston University freshman Ethan Wong was named Patriot League Men’s Diver of the Week after winning the three-meter dive and placing second in the one-meter dive in his collegiate debut against Holy Cross.

Terriers’ freshman Alayna Kennedy garnered Patriot League Women’s Diver of the Week honors, presented by Credit Union One, after winning the three-meter dive and placing fourth in the one-meter dive in her collegiate debut against the Crusaders.

Navy freshman Chase Maier earned Patriot League Men’s Rookie of the Week honors after recording a pair of victories in the Midshipmen’s wins over UMBC and William & Mary.

Boston University freshman Kiki Rampersad was named Patriot League Women’s Rookie of the Week, presented by Credit Union One, after setting the 100-yard butterfly pool record and swimming on a pair of pool record-setting relay teams.

Honorable mentions went to Army West Point’s Remo Mann and Jack McDaniel, Lehigh’s Genevieve Cody and Mairin Ludwig, Loyola Maryland’s Joe Hayburn, and Navy’s Mackenzie Kim, Kaitlyn Landers and Juan Mora.

The Patriot League men’s and women’s swimmers and divers of the week were selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Johnny Crush, Army West Point, So., Louisville, Ky./Saint Xavier
*Crushed tallied the eighth Swimmer of the Week honors in his career after earning two first-place finishes and a third-place finish in Army West Point’s 148-57 win over VMI.
*The sophomore earned first place in the 200-yard medley relay (1:25.50) as the leadoff swimmer, first place in the 100-yard butterfly (47.09), and third place in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:23.14).
*Crush’s time of 47.09 stands as the fourth-fastest 100-yard butterfly time in school history.

Patriot League Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Molly Webber, Army West Point, Sr., Morris Plains, N.J./Morristown
*Webber helped Army West Point to a dominating 172-33 win over VMI back on October 3rd with a trio of first-place finishes.
*The senior clocked a 9:56.93 in the 1000-yard freestyle, a 50.18 to win the 100-yard freestyle and a 1:32.62 to place first in the 200-yard freestyle.
*Webber’s 1000-yard freestyle time marked a new program record, replacing her own previous program record set in 2023.

Patriot League Men’s Diver of the Week
Ethan Wong, Boston University, Fr., Fresh Meadows, N.Y./St. Francis Prep
*Wong had a strong collegiate debut at Holy Cross on Saturday, earning a zone cut on the three-meter dive with a winning score of 321.98 while finishing second on the one-meter with a score of 270.08.

Patriot League Women’s Diver of the Week
Alayna Kennedy, Boston University, Fr., Austin, Minn./Austin
*Kennedy won the three-meter dive at Holy Cross in her collegiate debut with a zone-cut score of 297.45.
*The freshman also placed fourth in the one-meter with a score of 226.35.

Patriot League Men’s Rookie of the Week
Chase Maier, Navy, Fr., Aurora, Ill./Oswego East
*Maier recorded a pair of victories to help Navy post wins over UMBC (190-101) and William & Mary (192-93) on Saturday.
*The freshman clocked a time of 9:23.09 to win the 1000-yard freestyle and won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:34.20.

Patriot League Women’s Rookie of the Week
Kiki Rampersad, Boston University, Fr. Miami, Fla./Ransom Everglades
*Rampersad broke a pool record in her 100-yard butterfly collegiate debut and was a part of two pool relay records in Boston University’s 191-109 win at Holy Cross on Saturday.
*The freshman swam a 55.68 in the 100-yard butterfly, which ranks 10th fastest in program history, and was a member of all-freshman relays in the 200-yard medley (1:46.30) and 400-yard freestyle (3:33.83) that broke school records. Additionally, she was the runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.79).

Remo Mann, Army West Point, Fr., Woodland, Calif./Davis Senior
*Mann helped Army West Point to a 148-57 win over VMI with a trio of top-three finishes. The freshman earned third in the 200-yard individual medley (1:53.48), second in the 100-yard breaststroke (55.24) and second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:22.48).

Jack McDaniel, Army West Point, So., Hudson, Ohio/Hudson
*McDaniel earned first place in the one-meter dive with a score of 275.48 to help Army West Point defeat VMI 148-57.

Genevieve Cody, Lehigh, Fy., Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson
*Cody placed first in the 100-yard freestyle with a winning time of 52.10 and third in the 50-yard freestyle (24.16) as Lehigh opened its season against American and Loyola Maryland on Saturday. She also swam on the 200-yard freestyle and 400-yard medley relay squads that finished second and third, respectively.

Mairin Ludwig, Lehigh, Sr., Frisco, Texas/Dulaney
*Ludwig recorded a trio of top-two individual finishes in Lehigh’s opening meet against Patriot League opponents American and Loyola Maryland.
*The senior won the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.22) and 500-yard freestyle (5:02.60) before posting a runner-up finish in the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.92). She was part of the 200-yard freestyle relay that finished second (1:36.43).

Joe Hayburn, Loyola Maryland, Jr., Bowie, Md./St. Mary’s
*Hayburn won four events over two meets to start the season as Loyola Maryland competed against Patriot League foes. The junior took first in the 50-yard backstroke (22.09), the 100-yard backstroke (48.67) and swam the leadoff leg of the 200-yard medley relay team on Thursday against Lafayette.
*The Bowie, Md., native finished first in the 100-yard backstroke (48.72) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.62) on Saturday against American and Lehigh. He had a split of 20.40 on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay.

Mackenzie Kim, Navy, Sr., Diamond Bar, Calif./Diamond Bar
*Kim captured first place in the one-meter dive with 256.13 points and won the three-meter board with 258.38 points as Navy defeated UMBC 236-63 but fell to William & Mary 169-124.

Kaitlyn Landers, Navy, Fr., Washington Crossing, Pa./Council Rock North
*Landers swam the anchor leg on Navy's third-place finishing 200 medley relay, placed third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.94), finished second in the 100-yuard freestyle (52.57) and completed the last leg of the second-place finishing 400-yard freestyle relay.

Juan Mora, Navy, Jr., Folsom, Calif./Mother of Divine Grace
*Mora totaled three victories in Navy’s wins over UMBC (190-101) and William & Mary (192-93) on Saturday. The junior swam the breaststroke on Navy’s winning 200-yard medley relay team, recorded a time of 55.51 to win the 100-yard breaststroke and placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:02.57.

Anthony Sciulli, Navy, Sr., Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty
*Sciulli placed first in both diving events in Navy’s victories over UMBC (190-101) and William & Mary (192-93) on Saturday. The senior scored 286.35 points to win the one-meter dive and tallied 278.33 points to win the three-meter.
