Patriot League Announces Swimmers and Divers of the Week (10.21.25)

Army West Point, Boston University and Navy each collect two weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point, Boston University and Navy each collected two Patriot League men’s and women’s swimming and diving weekly awards when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday.

For the second consecutive week and ninth time in his career, Army West Point sophomore Johnny Crush was named Patriot League Men’s Swimmer of the Week. Crush compiled eight top-three finishes including six first place finishes at the Georgia Tech Dual Meet Tournament.

Army West Point sophomore Angie McKane collected Patriot League Women’s Swimmer of the Week, presented by Credit Union One, after winning four events at the Georgia Tech Dual Meet Tournament.

Navy senior Anthony Sciulli earned Patriot League Men’s Diver of the Week honors after winning both diving events in the Midshipmen’s victory over Loyola Maryland.

Navy senior Mackenzie Kim earned Patriot League Women’s Diver of the Week recognition, presented by Credit Union One, for the 11th time in her career after winning both diving events in a victory over the Greyhounds.

Boston University freshman Nathan Lee was honored as the Patriot League Men’s Rookie of the Week after winning two individual events and a relay in the Terriers’ victory over Bucknell.

Terriers’ freshman Molly Barber received Patriot League Women’s Rookie of the Week, presented by Credit Union One, after winning two individual events and anchoring a pair of Terriers’ relay teams to victories.

Honorable mentions went to Army West Point freshman Remo Mann, Boston University freshmen Alayna Kennedy and Ethan Wong, Lehigh first-year Genevieve Cody and senior Mairin Ludwig and Navy senior Ben Denman-Grimm.

The Patriot League men’s and women’s swimmers and divers of the week were selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Johnny Crush, Army West Point, So., Louisville, Ky./Saint Xavier
*Crush delivered a strong performance at the Georgia Tech Dual Meet Tournament, recording eight top-three finishes, including six first-place finishes against Florida State, Georgia Tech, and George Washington.
*The sophomore claimed first in the 200-yard backstroke (1:42.64) against Florida State, as well as first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:18.27), 100-yard backstroke (47.79), and 50-yard freestyle (19.69) against Georgia Tech.
*The Louisville, Ky. native finished the weekend with first-place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke (46.05) and 200-yard medley relay (1:26.99) against George Washington.

Patriot League Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Angie McKane, Army West Point, So., Corning, N.Y./Corning Painted-Post
*McKane finished the weekend with six top-three finishes, including four first-place finishes, for Army West Point at the Georgia Tech Dual Meet Tournament.
*Against Florida State, she claimed first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a program record-setting and Patriot League record-setting time of 52.10.
*The sophomore earned a trio of first-place finishes against George Washington with a 3:22.79 in the 400-yard freestyle relay, a 23.02 in the 50-yard freestyle and a 1:42.10 in the 200-yard medley relay.

Patriot League Men’s Diver of the Week
Anthony Sciulli, Navy, Sr., Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty
*Sciulli won both diving events to help Navy to a 164-125 win over Loyola Maryland on Friday.
*The senior scored 304.35 points to win the one-meter event by 33 points and totaled 335.18 points to place first in the three-meter event by 44 points.

Patriot League Women’s Diver of the Week
Mackenzie Kim, Navy, Sr., Diamond Bar, Calif./Diamond Bar
*Kim won both diving events to lead Navy to a 153-136 win over Loyola Maryland on Friday.
*The senior scored 289.80 points to win the three-meter dive and totaled 258.53 points to place first in the one-meter board.

Patriot League Men’s Rookie of the Week
Nathan Lee, Boston University, Fr., La Palma, Calif./Oxford Academy
*Lee won two events and was a part of a winning relay team to help Boston University defeat Bucknell, 172.5-127.5, on Saturday.
*The freshman earned his first collegiate win by clocking a time of 1:40.59 in the 200-yard freestyle before adding a victory in the 100-yard freestyle (45.98).
*The La Palma, Calif. native swam the third leg on the 400-yard freestyle relay that took first (3:06.93).

Patriot League Women’s Rookie of the Week
Molly Barber, Boston University, Fr., Ottawa, Ontario/Nepean
*Barber won two individual events and anchored Boston University’s two winning relay teams in Saturday’s meet against Bucknell.
*The freshman won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.14, tying for fifth all-time in BU program history, and then won the 100-yard freestyle in 51.82. She anchored the winning 200-yard medley (1:45.10) and 400-yard freestyle (3:30.11) relay teams.

Remo Mann, Army West Point, Fr., Woodland, Calif./Davis Senior
*Mann recorded five top-six finishes for Army West Point against Florida State, Georgia Tech, and George Washington at the Georgia Tech Dual Meet Tournament over the weekend.
*The freshman took sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke (55.09) against Florida State, finished fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:02.38), and sixth in the 200-yard individual medley (1:54.26) against Georgia Tech.
*He recorded fourth-place finishes against George Washington in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:06.75) and 200-yard individual medley (1:51.09).

Alayna Kennedy, Boston University, Fr., Austin, Minn./Austin
*Kennedy, the reigning Women’s Diver of the Week, won the three-meter board with a score of 294.23 and finished second in the one-meter dive (278.03) in Boston University’s meet against Bucknell. 

Ethan Wong, Boston University, Fr., Fresh Meadows, N.Y./St. Francis Prep
*Wong, the reigning Men’s Diver of the Week, helped the Terriers defeat Bucknell on Saturday after posting a score of 332.63 to win the three-meter dive and taking first in the one-meter with a score of 320.48.

Genevieve Cody, Lehigh, Fy., Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson
*Cody won all six events she competed in between Lehigh’s Friday meet against West Chester and Saturday’s meet against Rider.
*The first-year won the 50-yard freestyle (24.18) and 100-yard freestyle (52.32) and was part of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team against the Golden Rams.
*She won her lone solo event on Saturday in the 50-yard freestyle (23.72) and was part of the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relay teams that won.

Mairin Ludwig, Lehigh, Sr., Frisco, Texas/Dulaney (Md.)
*Ludwig won all six of her individual events for Lehigh in meets against West Chester and Rider over the weekend.
*On Friday against the Golden Rams, the senior took first place in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:26.54), the 200-yard individual medley (2:07.71), and the 500-yard freestyle (5:03.51).
*The Frisco, Texas native returned on Saturday to win the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.93), the 200-yard individual medley (2:08.65), and the 100-yard freestyle (52.23). She was also part of a relay team that won the 400-yard medley relay.

Ben Denman-Grimm, Navy, Sr., Vienna, Va.
*Denman-Grimm posted a pair of individual event wins and two relay victories in Navy's 164-125 win over Loyola Maryland. The senior recorded a time of 20.43 to win the 50-yard freestyle and 44.57 to take the 100-yard freestyle. He also swam on the winning 200-yard medley (1:28.17) and 400-yard freestyle (3:00.20) relay teams.
