Patriot League Football Players of the Week presented by Credit Union 1 Announced (10.6.25)

Bucknell’s Rucker IV and Schlendorf, Colgate’s Price and Holy Cross’ Mosey earn weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Bucknell captured two of the four Patriot League football weekly awards, presented by Credit Union 1, when the League office announced honors on Monday. Colgate and Holy Cross each earned one accolade.
 
Bucknell fifth-year quarterback Ralph Rucker IV claimed his first Patriot League Football Offensive Player of the Week this season after completing 24-of-34 passes for 284 yards and a touchdown in the Bison’s 33-28 win over Richmond.    
 
Colgate senior linebacker Trooper Price collected Patriot League Football Defensive Player of the Week honors after intercepting two passes, including one that he returned for a 43-yard touchdown, in the Raiders’ 41-21 win over Cornell.
 
Holy Cross senior wide receiver/punt returner Max Mosey claimed Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week. Returned two punts for 85 yards, including a 72-yard punt return in the third quarter.  
 
Bison freshman defensive back James Schlendorf was selected Patriot League Rookie of the Week. He finished with six tackles, 1.0 TFL, one interception and one pass breakup in the win against the Spiders.
 
Colgate junior quarterback Jake Stearney, Georgetown senior wide receiver Jimmy Kibble and junior punter Josh Leff, Lafayette junior punter Christian Bush, senior quarterback Dean DeNobile and junior defensive end Jaylon Joseph, Lehigh senior placekicker Nick Garrido and junior running back Luke Yoder and Richmond sophomore wide receiver Isaiah Dawson and sophomore linebacker Peyton Seelmann received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
 
The Patriot League football players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s football athletics communications contacts, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Offensive Player of the Week
Ralph Rucker IV, Bucknell, 5th-year QB, Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy
*Rucker IV completed 24-of-34 passes for 284 yards and a touchdown pass to lead Bucknell to a 33-28 victory over Richmond to improve to 1-1 in League play.
*The fifth-year quarterback’s lone touchdown pass was a 21-yard connection with Nate Anderson for the game-winning score in the fourth quarter.
*He also rushed for 26 yards on six carries to finish with 310 yards of total offense, to pass Brandon Wesley for the Bison’s career total offense record.
 
Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Defensive Player of the Week
Trooper Price, Colgate, Sr., LB, Ponte Vedra, Fla./Ponte Vedra
*Prince finished with four tackles and two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, in Colgate’s 41-21 win over Cornell.
*He returned his second interception of the game for a 43-yard touchdown with 5:10 remaining in the second quarter to put the Raiders in front 28-6.
*He helped the Raiders’ defense hold the Big Red scoreless in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
 
Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Special Teams Player of the Week
Max Mosey, Holy Cross, Sr., WR/PR, Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin
*Mosey had two punt returns, including a 72-yard return in the Crusaders’ loss against No. 25 Harvard.
*The Harrisburg, Pa. native returned a punt 72 yards in the third quarter to the Harvard 14-yard line. It was the seventh-longest punt return in program history.
*He leads the Patriot League with 17.0 yards per punt return.
 
Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Rookie of the Week
James Schlendorf, Bucknell, Fr., DB, Salt Lake City, Utah/Olympus Hill
*Schlendorf posted a team-leading six tackles, 1.0 TFL, one sack, one interception and one pass breakup in Bucknell’s 33-28 victory over Richmond.
*The freshman defensive back intercepted a pass in the end zone at the end of the second quarter to keep the Bison within seven points going into the half.
*He broke up a pass that sophomore linebacker Brandon Biagiarelli intercepted with less than six minutes left in the game to set up the Bison’s go-ahead touchdown.
 
Honorable Mentions
Jake Stearney, Colgate, Jr., QB, Chicago, Ill./Loyola Academy
*Stearney tossed a career-high four touchdown passes in the Raiders’ 41-21 victory over Cornell. He completed 16-of-25 passes for 206 yards and a 186.0 quarterback rating. He connected with nine different receivers for an offense that produced 384 total yards.  
 
Jimmy Kibble, Georgetown, Sr., WR, Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County
*Kibble caught five passes for 110 yards, including pulling down the game-winning touchdown on a 49-yard Hail Mary as time expired in Georgetown’s 27-24 victory over Morgan State. He moved to fourth in GU history with 2,055 career receiving yards.
 
Josh Leff, Georgetown, Jr., P, Westlake Village, Calif./Sierra Canyon
*Leff averaged 48.8 yards per punt, placing three punts inside the Morgan State 20-yard line in the Hoyas’ 27-24 comeback win over the Bears.  
 
Christian Bush, Lafayette, Jr., P, West Chester, Pa./Episcopal Academy
*Bush averaged 43.5 yards per punt on four attempts in the Leopards’ 24-10 victory over Fordham. He landed three punts inside the Rams’ 20-yard line, including punts that landed at the one-yard line and three-yard line.
 
Dean DeNobile, Lafayette, Sr., QB, Upper Saddle River, N.J./Morris Catholic
*DeNobile completed 25-of-35 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns in the Leopards’ 24-10 win over Fordham to improve to 2-0 in League play. The senior signal-caller connected with nine different receivers for the second 300-yard passing game of his collegiate career.
 
Jaylon Joseph, Lafayette, Jr., DE, Houston, Texas/North Shore
*Joseph posted six tackles and 2.5 sacks for a loss of 21 yards and a forced fumble in Lafayette’s 24-10 win over Fordham. On his first sack of the game, Joseph forced a fumble that Lafayette recovered. He helped Lafayette’s defense limit the Rams to 51 rushing yards.
 
Nick Garrido, Lehigh, Sr., PK, Easton, Pa./Notre Dame Green Pond
*Garrido connected on a 25-yard field goal and went 4-for-4 on PATs in Lehigh’s 31-13 victory over Yale. The senior placekicker is 6-for-6 on field-goal attempts and 25-for-25 on PATs this season.
 
Luke Yoder, Lehigh, Jr., RB, Palm Harbor, Fla./East Lake
*Yoder rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries, while catching three passes for 49 yards and another score to lead Lehigh to a 31-13 win over Yale. The junior running back topped 100 rushing yards for the third straight game.
 
Isaiah Dawson, Richmond, So., WR, Garner, N.C./Garner-Magnet
*Dawson finished with six receptions for a career-high 144 yards and two touchdowns in Richmond’s loss at Bucknell. The sophomore wide receiver had touchdown receptions of 24 and 25 yards in the first quarter.
 
Peyton Seelmann, Richmond, So., LB, Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover
*Seelmann recorded a career-high 20 tackles in the Spiders’ 33-28 loss against Bucknell. His 20 tackles are the most for a Spider since 2019.
