BETHLEHEM, Pa. —Lafayette earned two of the five Patriot League Men’s Soccer weekly honors presented by PenFed Credit Union when the League announced on Monday. Lehigh, Boston University and Bucknell each received one.
Lehigh junior forward Thomas Robertson was named Patriot League Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after recording a hat trick in the Mountain Hawks’ 3-1 victory over Holy Cross.
Bucknell senior midfielder Jimmy Pombor earned Patriot League Men’s Soccer Midfielder of the Week honors after scoring the 90th-minute game-winning goal in the Bison’s 1-0 win over Army West Point.
Boston University senior defender Quin DeLaMater received Patriot League Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week recognition after totaling one goal and three assists over two wins.
Lafayette senior goalkeeper Eric Axtman collected Patriot League Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week honors after registering his fifth shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over American.
Lafayette freshman forward Nicolas Papadopoulos was named Patriot League Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week after assisting on the match-winning goal in the Leopards’ 1-0 victory over American.
Boston University’s Andrea Di Blasio, Colgate’s Blake Pipkin, Boston University’s Pharis Petrica, Bucknell’s Collin Sullivan, Colgate’s Liam Winograd, Colgate’s Eric Widrick, and Boston University’s Sebastian Otero all received honorable mentions.
The Patriot League men’s soccer players of the week are chosen in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their own student-athletes.

*The senior played 166 total minutes on the week, anchoring the Bison midfield on both ends.

*DeLaMater totaled five points, one goal and three assists in wins over Harvard (3-2) and Loyola Maryland (4-1).
*The senior recorded his first career multi-assist game and first three-plus point performance.
*DeLaMater anchored a backline that held opponents to 11 shots and six corner kicks over two matches.

*Axtman posted his fifth shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over American.

Pipkin registered a goal and an assist in Colgate’s 2-0 win over Navy, contributing to both tallies, including a cross on the insurance goal.
