Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week Announced (10.7.25)

American’s Sophie Dufour and Colgate’s Milan Bayless and Maddie Rudolph earn weekly awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Colgate received two of the three Patriot League women’s volleyball weekly awards, presented by Credit Union One, when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday. American collected the remaining weekly honor.

For the second time this season and fourth time in her career, Colgate junior outside hitter Milan Bayless was named the Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week after she recorded 52 kills on a .342 hitting percentage in a 3-0 week for the Raiders.

Colgate senior middle blocker Maddie Rudolph collected Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honors after totaling 16 blocks in a 3-0 week for the Raiders.

American freshman outside hitter Sophie Dufour received Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this season after totaling 22 kills and 17 digs in the Eagles’ 2-0 weekend.

Honorable mentions went to American sophomore outside hitter Salme Adeele Hollas and sophomore libero Bella Marrero, Army West Point opposite hitter Marin Harvey, Colgate first-year libero Julia Oster, Lafayette senior libero Emily Gouldrup and Lehigh senior right-side hitter Natalie Luscomb.

The Patriot League women’s volleyball players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their own student-athletes.

Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week
Milan Bayless, Colgate, Jr., Outside Hitter, San Diego, Calif./Cathedral Catholic

*Bayless led Colgate to a 3-0 week as she totaled 52 kills on a .342 hitting percentage, 22 digs, eight blocks and two service aces.
*The junior recorded a double-double with 19 kills (.425 hitting percentage) and 12 digs against Army West Point on Saturday before tallying 21 kills on a .606 hitting percentage in a sweep of Holy Cross.
*She added 12 kills and eight digs in a four-set victory at Binghamton on Tuesday.
*The reigning Patriot League Player of the Year continues to lead the League in kills (242), kills per set (4.03), points (283) and points per set (4.72).

Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Maddie Rudolph, Colgate, Sr., Middle Blocker, West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shannahan

*Rudolph finished with 24 kills on a .523 hitting percentage, 16 blocks, 11 digs and two service aces in the Raiders’ 3-0 week.
*The senior had seven kills and eight blocks at Binghamton on Tuesday, eight kills, seven digs and four blocks against Army West Point on Saturday, and nine kills and four blocks in a sweep of Holy Cross.
*The West Chester, Pa. native ranks fourth in the Patriot League in blocks (61) and blocks per set (1.05).

Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Sophie Dufour, American, Fr., Outside Hitter, Frankfort, Ky./Franklin County

*Dufour collected her fourth Rookie of the Week honor this season after totaling 22 kills, 17 digs and three service aces in American’s 2-0 weekend.
*The freshman had 10 kills and eight digs at Bucknell on Friday and followed with 12 kills and nine digs at Lehigh on Saturday.
*The Frankfort, Ky. native ranks second in the Patriot League in kills per set (3.82) and points per set (4.38), third in aces per set (0.38) and 10th in hitting percentage (.264).

Salme Adeele Hollas, American, So., Outside Hitter, Tartu, Estonia/ Hugo Treffneri Gümnaasium
*Hollas totaled 30 kills on a .359 hitting percentage, 16 digs, three blocks and two service aces in American’s 3-0 sweeps at Bucknell and Lehigh. Against the Mountain Hawks on Saturday, she had a season-high 18 kills on a .469 hitting percentage.
*The sophomore ranks sixth in the Patriot League in kills per set (3.16) and points per set (3.59).

Bella Marrero, American, So., Libero, Burbank, Calif./Campbell Hall
*Marrero totaled 32 digs (4.64 digs per set), eight assists, four service aces and a .932 reception percentage in American’s road sweeps of Bucknell and Lehigh. The sophomore ranks second in the Patriot League in digs per set (4.64).

Marin Harvey, Army West Point, Fr., Opposite Hitter, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North
*Harvey finished Army West Point’s 1-1 weekend with 11 kills on a .346 hitting percentage and five blocks. The freshman had eight kills and three blocks in the Black Knights’ sweep at Holy Cross.

Julia Oster, Colgate, Fy., Libero, Concord Township, Ohio/Lake Catholic
*Oster totaled 50 digs, nine assists and three service aces in a 3-0 week for the Raiders. The first-year libero recorded a career-high 21 digs at Binghamton on Tuesday, as she ranks seventh in the Patriot League in digs per set (3.28).

Emily Gouldrup, Lafayette, Sr., Libero, Los Gatos, Calif./Los Gatos
*Gouldrup registered 39 digs, six assists and three service aces in a 1-1 week for Lehigh, which included sweeping Loyola Maryland on Friday night. The senior leads the Patriot League in digs (271) and digs per set (4.75).  

Natalie Luscomb, Lehigh, Sr., Right-Side Hitter, Annapolis, Md./Broadneck
*Luscomb recorded 27 kills (3.86 per set) on a .328 hitting percentage, five digs and four blocks in a 1-1 weekend for Lehigh. In the four-set win over Navy, the senior tallied 14 kills, three digs and two blocks.
