BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point received three of the six Patriot League men’s and women’s swimming and diving weekly awards when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday. Boston University and Navy collected the remaining honors.
For the third time this season and the 10th time in his career, Army West Point sophomore Johnny Crush was named Patriot League Men’s Swimmer of the Week. Crush earned a pair of individual wins and two second-place relay finishes in the Black Knights’ meet against Penn State.
Black Knights’ senior Molly Webber garnered Patriot League Women’s Swimmer of the Week honors, presented by Credit Union One, for the second straight week and third time this season after four first-place finishes in Army West Point’s 170-125 victory over Penn State.
Army West Point sophomore Jack McDaniel earned Patriot League Men’s Diver of the Week honors after earning first and third-place finishes in the diving events against Penn State.
Navy senior Mackenzie Kim was recognized as the Patriot League Women’s Diver of the Week honors, presented by Credit Union One, for the second time this year after sweeping both diving events in the Mids’ victories over American (177-111), Bucknell (177-112) and Lafayette (188-101) on Saturday.
Boston University freshman Ethan Zhou collected Patriot League Men’s Rookie of the Week recognition after recording a second and third-place finishes in the Terriers’ meet against UMass.
Terriers’ freshman Danka Ndubuisi received Patriot League Women’s Rookie of the Week honors, presented by Credit Union One, following victories in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke.
Honorable mentions went to Army West Point freshman Hadley Futch, Bucknell freshman Jason Kellerman, Holy Cross senior Jack Greiner, Loyola Maryland freshman Bryce Gold and Navy junior Juan Mora and freshman Luke Ogren.
The Patriot League men’s and women’s swimmers and divers of the week were selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.
Patriot League Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Johnny Crush, Army West Point, So., Louisville, Ky./Saint Xavier
*Crush earned a pair of individual wins and two second-place relay finishes in Army West Point’s meet against Penn State.
*The sophomore won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 45.41 and took first in the 100-yard backstroke (1:44.23) to collect his 10th career Men’s Swimmer of the Week honor.
Patriot League Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Molly Webber, Army West Point, Sr., Morris Plains, N.J./Morristown
*Webber helped Army West Point to a 170-125 victory over Big Ten opponent Penn State on Friday as she recorded four first-place finishes.
*The senior won the 200-yard medley relay (1:39.69) and followed with a program-record time of 1:45.98 to win the 200-yard freestyle.
*She added victories in the 500-yard freestyle (4:48.25) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:21.89).
Patriot League Men’s Diver of the Week
Jack McDaniel, Army West Point, So., Hudson, Ohio/Hudson
*McDaniel placed third on the one-meter board with a score of 276.38 before earning first place on the three-meter board with a score of 320.03 in Army West Point’s meet against Penn State.
*The sophomore contributed 12 points toward the Black Knights’ 130-point total against the Nittany Lions.
Patriot League Women’s Diver of the Week
Mackenzie Kim, Navy, Sr., Diamond Bar, Calif./Diamond Bar
*Kim swept both diving events to help Navy earn victories over Patriot League foes American (177-111), Bucknell (177-112) and Lafayette (188-101) on Saturday.
*The senior scored 336.20 points to win the three-meter event and totaled 277.90 points to place first in the one-meter board.
Patriot League Men’s Rookie of the Week
Ethan Zhou, Boston University, Fr., Mamaroneck, N.Y./Rye Neck
*Zhou finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:43.11) and third in the 500-yard freestyle (4:45.10) in Boston University’s meet against UMass.
*The freshman also swam the second leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay that placed fourth (3:09.33).
Patriot League Women’s Rookie of the Week
Danka Ndubuisi, Boston University, Fr., Columbia, S.C./SCAIHS
*Ndubuisi won the 100-yard backstroke (56.50) and 200-yard backstroke (2:00.51) in Boston University’s meet against UMass.
*She also swam the anchor leg of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay (3:30.75).
*The freshman’s 200-yard backstroke time broke a pool record in Amherst, ranks fourth all-time at Boston University and is the second-fastest time in the Patriot League this season.

Hadley Futch, Army West Point, Fr., Sanford, Fla./Winter Springs
*Futch was a key piece in Army West Point’s 170-125 win over Penn State as she earned a pair of second-place finishes in the diving events.
*The freshman recorded a score of 302.93 on the three-meter board and totaled 271.35 points in the one-meter dive.
Jason Kellerman, Bucknell, Fr., Parkville, Md./Archbishop Curley
*Kellerman had three top-six finishes in Bucknell’s quad meet against American, Navy and Lafayette.
*The freshman placed fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (51.45), tied for fourth in the 200-yard butterfly (1:52.31) and tied for sixth in the 200-yard backstroke (1:53.95).
Jack Greiner, Holy Cross, Sr., New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan
*Greiner won three individual events during Holy Cross’ victory over Bryant, taking first in the 200-yard backstroke (1:53.16), 200-yard butterfly (1:52.02) and 200-yard individual medley (1:54.19).
*The senior swam a leg on the 200-yard medley relay team that set a Hart Center Pool record (1:33.19) and captured first place in the Distance Pentathlon at Saturday’s Worcester City Championship.
Bryce Gold, Loyola Maryland, Fr., Stamford, Conn./Greenwich Academy
*Gold helped Loyola Maryland to a 167-133 victory over Richmond on Friday by winning three individual events.
*The freshman won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.45), the 50-yard breaststroke (29.17) and the 00-yard individual medley (57.39).
Juan Mora, Navy. Jr., Folsom, Calif./Mother of Divine Grace
*Mora earned wins in the 100-yard breaststroke (54.44) and 100-yard individual medley (49.93) to help Navy earn victories over Patriot League foes American (189-96), Bucknell (185-104) and Lafayette (189-94).
Luke Ogren, Navy, Fr., Lone Tree, Colo./Cherry Creek
*Ogren scored 301.20 points to win the one-meter dive and tallied 312.65 to place second on the three-meter board in Navy’s wins over American (189-96), Bucknell (185-104) and Lafayette (189-94).
