Patriot League Football Players of the Week presented by Credit Union 1 Announced (11.3.25)

Lafayette’s Edwards, Lehigh’s Ochojski, Colgate’s Vogeler and Fogler earn weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lafayette junior running back Kente Edwards and Lehigh senior linebacker Tyler Ochojski earned Patriot League Football Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, when the League office announced weekly awards, presented by Credit Union 1, on Monday. Colgate earned two weekly accolades.
 
Lafayette junior running back Kente Edwards earned Patriot League Football Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time, after rushing for 146 yards and two touchdowns in the Leopards’ 21-13 win over Holy Cross.  
 
Lehigh senior linebacker Tyler Ochojski was named Patriot League Football Defensive Player of the Week for the first time. He posted six tackles, 4.0 TFLs and three sacks in the Mountain Hawks’ 41-0 win over Georgetown.
 
Colgate junior placekicker Luke Vogeler claimed his first Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week. He connected on the game-winning 34-yard field goal in a 23-20 overtime win over Merrimack. The junior placekicker went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts and hit both of his PATs.
 
Raiders’ first-year wide receiver Matt Fogler was selected Patriot League Rookie of the Week. He caught two passes for 20 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown reception in a 23-20 overtime win over Merrimack.
 
Colgate sophomore linebacker Christian Magliacano and junior wide receiver Reed Swanson, Holy Cross junior running back Jayden Clerveaux and senior wide receiver/punt returner Max Mosey, Lafayette sophomore cornerback Ryan Gadson and sophomore cornerback Lee Bruner IV and senior quarterback Kyle Wickersham received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
 
The Patriot League football players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s football athletics communications contacts, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Offensive Player of the Week
Kente Edwards, Lafayette, Jr., RB, Annandale, N.J./North Hunterdon
*Edwards rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries to lead Lafayette to a 21-13 victory over Holy Cross to improve to 4-0 in League play.
*The junior running back scored on a three-yard run with 2:39 remaining in the game to seal the Leopards’ victory.
*He earned MVP of the Family Weekend Game at Holy Cross, recording his fourth 100-yard game of the season.
 
Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Defensive Player of the Week
Tyler Ochojski, Lehigh, Sr., LB, Freehold, N.J./Freehold Boro
*Ochojski posted six tackles, a career-high 4.0 TFLs and three of the Mountain Hawks’ seven team sacks in a 41-0 win over Georgetown.
*His two sacks came in the first half, while the third backed GU up nine yards to the Lehigh 24-yard line in the third quarter.
*The senior linebacker helped the Mountain Hawks record their first shutout since 2009, holding the Hoyas to 90 rushing yards and 271 total yards.
 
Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Special Teams Player of the Week
Luke Vogeler, Colgate, Jr., PK, Caledonia, Mich./Caledonia
*Vogeler connected on a 34-yard field goal in overtime to lift Colgate to a 23-20 victory over Merrimack. He went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts, hitting from 43, 36 and 34 yards, and hit both of his PAT attempts.
 
Patriot League Football Credit Union 1 Rookie of the Week
Matt Fogler, Colgate, Fy., WR, Cincinnati, Ohio/Archbishop Moeller
*Fogler caught a 16-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter for his first collegiate score, while helping to put the Raiders in front 10-7.
*He caught two passes for 20 yards in a 23-20 overtime win over Merrimack.
 
Honorable Mentions
Christian Magliacano, Colgate, So., LB, Berkeley Heights, N.J./St. Joseph Prep
*Magliacano registered a career-high 10 tackles, six solo, 3.0 TFLs and an interception in Colgate’s 23-20 overtime win over Merrimack. The junior linebacker made a game-saving interception at Colgate’s nine-yard line with 5:57 remaining in the fourth quarter to keep the Raiders in front 20-17.
 
Reed Swanson, Colgate, Jr., WR, Glen Gardner, N.J./Wyoming Seminary
*Swanson caught five passes for 134 yards in Colgate’s 23-20 overtime win over Merrimack. His 134 receiving yards are his second-highest single-game total of his career. His career-long 47-yard reception set up the Raiders’ go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter.
 
Jayden Clerveaux, Holy Cross, Jr., RB, Everett, Mass./Williston Northampton
*Clerveaux carried 17 times for a season-high 135 yards to pace the Crusaders’ offense in a 21-13 loss against Lafayette.  
 
Max Mosey, Holy Cross, Sr., WR/PR, Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin
*Mosey returned a punt for a 59-yard touchdown in the third quarter of the Crusaders’ 21-13 loss against Lafayette. The senior wide receiver recorded his second straight game with a punt return touchdown, making him one of five FCS players with two punt return scores this season. He also caught seven passes for 64 yards.
 
Ryan Gadson, Lafayette, So., CB, Fort Myers, Fla./Bishop Verot
*Gadson made a team-high 10 tackles and recorded his second interception of the season in Lafayette’s 21-13 win over Holy Cross. He helped the Leopards’ defense limit the Crusaders’ offense to just two field goals, forcing four turnovers.
 
Lee Bruner IV, Richmond, So., S, Washington, D.C./Georgetown Prep
*Bruner posted a career-high two interceptions, including a fourth-quarter pick that sealed Richmond’s 17-14 victory over Fordham. He returned his first interception 25 yards to the Spiders’ 47-yard line to set up a touchdown. He is the first Spider to post two interceptions in a game since current Tampa Bay Buccaneer Tyrek Funderburk, who accomplished the feat against Stony Brook in 2022.  
 
Kyle Wickersham, Richmond, Sr., QB, Metairie, La./Archbishop Rummel
*Wickersham completed 23-of-35 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown pass, and ran 10 times for 44 yards and a score to lead Richmond to a 17-14 victory over Fordham.
