BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Holy Cross garnered two of the three Patriot League women’s volleyball weekly awards, presented by Credit Union One, when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday. American collected the remaining weekly honor.
Holy Cross freshman defensive specialist Elizabeth Hall earned Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week after recording 42 digs, including a career-high 24 in the Crusaders’ victory over Loyola Maryland.
Crusaders’ freshman setter KK Green received Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week recognition after totaling 29 kills and 13 digs in a 1-1 weekend for the Crusaders.
American sophomore middle blocker Prinzez Zeck collected Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week honors after recording 20 kills on a .436 hitting percentage and 15 blocks in two Eagles wins.
Honorable mentions went to American freshman outside hitter Sophie Dufour and sophomore libero Bella Marrero; Army West Point freshman libero Annette Lee and senior outside hitter Chloe Murakami; and Bucknell junior middle blocker Sidney Shaffer.
The Patriot League women’s volleyball players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their own student-athletes.

Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week
Prinzez Zeck, American, So., Middle Blocker, Silver Spring, Md./Wheaton
*Zeck powered American to wins over Army West Point and Colgate over the weekend, recording 20 kills on a .436 hitting percentage and 15 blocks.
*The Silver Spring, Md. native posted nine blocks in a sweep of the Black Knights and 15 kills on a .519 hitting percentage in a four-set victory over the Raiders.
*The sophomore ranks third in the Patriot League in hitting percentage (.366) and fourth in blocks per set (1.11).
Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Elizabeth Hall, Holy Cross, Fr., Defensive Specialist, Winnetka, Ill./New Trier
*Hall helped Holy Cross to a 1-1 weekend with 42 digs (4.67 per set) and 12 assists (1.33 per set).
*The freshman recorded 18 digs and a career-high seven assists in a five-set match against Navy, then posted a career-high 24 digs and five assists in the 3-1 win over Loyola Maryland.

KK Green, Holy Cross, Fr., Setter/Right-Side Hitter, Orlando, Fla./Lake Highland Prep
*Green paced Holy Cross to a 1-1 weekend with 29 kills (3.22 per set), hitting .267 with 13 digs, four blocks, two aces and two assists.
*The freshman hit .318 with a career-high 19 kills, along with six digs, two blocks and an assist in the Crusaders’ 3-1 win over Loyola Maryland.

Sophie Dufour, American, Fr., Outside Hitter, Frankfort, Ky./Franklin County
*Dufour totaled 20 kills, 16 digs, five aces, and a block during American’s two-win weekend.
*She added eight digs in both matches and committed just one reception error, contributing to American's .943 reception percentage on the weekend.
*The freshman ranks second in the Patriot League in points per set (4.33) and kills per set (3.78), and is tied for fifth in aces per set (0.35).
Bella Marrero, American, So., Libero, Burbank, Calif./Campbell Hall
*Marrero was stellar in American’s 2-0 weekend, recording 35 digs, seven assists and two service aces. The sophomore had 22 digs in a sweep of Army West Point, followed by 13 digs, six assists and two aces in a four-set win at Colgate.
*The Burbank, Calif. native ranks second in the Patriot League in digs per set (4.47) and fourth in total digs (335).

*Lee anchored Army West Point’s backline defense with 23 digs, seven assists and one service ace over the weekend. The freshman finished with a team-high 19 digs in a five-set win over Navy.

*Murakami finished Army West Point’s 1-1 weekend with 36 kills (4.50 per set), 21 digs, four service aces and two blocks.
*The senior posted a career-high 22 kills in the Black Knights’ five-set win over Navy.
*The Chandler, Ariz. native ranks third in the Patriot League in kills per set (3.67) and points per set (4.10).
