BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Lafayette junior guard Teresa Kiewiet was named the Patriot League PenFed Credit Union Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Lehigh freshman forward Leia Edwards earned Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the League office on Monday.
Kiewiet collected Player of the Week recognition after averaging 21.0 points per game, highlighted by a 19-point, eight-rebound performance in Lafayette’s historic win at Pitt, becoming the first Leopard to win the award since 2023.
Edwards earned Rookie of the Week after scoring in double figures in both games, and posting her first career double-double in a win over Brown.
Honorable mentions were awarded to Army West Point senior guard Reese Ericson, Holy Cross senior forward Meg Cahalan, Navy junior guard Zanai Barnett-Gay, Lehigh senior forward Lily Fandre, and Lafayette freshman guard Haylie Adamski.
The Patriot League women’s basketball players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s sports information director, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*Edwards scored in double figures in both games, posting 15 points and a career-high nine rebounds at San Francisco before recording her first career double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds) against Brown.
*The first-year hit the go-ahead three with 5:43 remaining versus Brown to give Lehigh a 49–48 lead it never relinquished.
*Edwards leads all rookies in the Patriot League in scoring at 12.1 points per game.
Honorable Mentions
Reese Ericson, Army West Point, Sr., G, Lake Oswego, Ore./Lakeridge
Ericson scored a game-high 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting against Eastern Kentucky, including 5-of-7 from three. She became just the third player in program history to reach 200 career three-pointers and is now tied for second school history with 202.
Meg Cahalan, Holy Cross, Sr., F, Middletown, N.J./Saint John Vianney
Cahalan averaged 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists, highlighted by a 20-point, six-rebound performance in a win over UNH. She has scored in double figures in all six games this season, including three 20-point outings.
Zanai Barnett-Gay, Navy, Jr., G, Glenn Dale, Md./Riverdale Baptist
Barnett-Gay earned Navy Classic All-Tournament honors after averaging 13.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 5.0 steals over two games. She posted near triple-double-level production in both contests, including 18 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and five steals in a win over Manhattan.
Lily Fandre, Lehigh, Sr., F, Eagan, Minn./Eagan
Fandre scored a career-high 27 points at San Francisco and added 12 points in Lehigh’s win over Brown. She went 13-of-16 from the free-throw line for the week, including 10-of-11 at USF.
Haylie Adamski, Lafayette, Fr., G, Media, Pa./Garnet Valley
Adamski erupted for 19 points with four threes in Lafayette’s historic win over Pitt and added key defensive contributions at NJIT. She totaled four steals, six rebounds and a block across the two-game week.
