BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Eleven Patriot League field hockey student-athletes were selected to one of the Division I All-Region Teams when the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced postseason accolades.
Regular-season champion American placed four student-athletes on the two All-Mid-Atlantic Region teams, with Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year Jordan Reicher and Midfielder of the Year Agustina Roffo earning first-team honors. League Rookie of the Year Lotti Süme and Emilia Winkler both made the second team.
Two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year Kira Leclercq of Bucknell highlighted five League players on the Mideast Region team. Leclercq claimed first-team all-region honors for the second straight season. Lafayette’s Makenzie Switzer joined Leclercq on the first team. The Leopards’ Lena Thedrian and Josephine van Wijk, and Lehigh’s Kiki Mes received second-team honors.
Patriot League Championship MVP Caroline O’Brien of Boston University and teammate Martu Coulo earned Second Team Northeast Region honors after guiding the Terriers to the program’s fifth Patriot League title and first since 2018.
The Division I teams are split into five regions: Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Northeast, South and West. Each of these regions recognizes up to 16 student-athletes on both the first and second teams for a total of 160 members.
